Love the breakfast food.. Needs a bigger building cause it's so busy there's not enough room for everyone.. But great service

Great breakfast and brunch menu for any day of the week. Really good coffee. If the place is packed eat outside and enjoy the local flavor. One sunday the wait was so long we got our brkfst to go and walked to the park behind the building and had a kickass meal in a picnic type setting. Luv Athens and... More

My bf had told me time and time again about his college days of going to Mam's Boy restaurant on Lexington Ave. We tried several times over the past 5 years to go to it together. Every time we decided to go there, it was closed. Their hours close the restaurant at 3:30. daily. It is a cool restaurant,, and... More

What a cute hipster place to go eat! This place has such a good vibe and such a great staff! My meal was excellent; they have very authentic flavors and good portion sizes. The lunch specials are the perfect size- half a sandwhich, a cup of soup, and a garden salad. Very impressed and in the heart of the college... More

I ate a late breakfast at Mama's Boy today and was not disappointed! I ordered the peach French toast and it was amazing. The half order was plenty for a good between meal. Service was excellent and even though they were packed out, the wait wasn't long at all. I had driven by a few times on earlier days but... More

Southern cooking that has a local feel... Super busy so if you can go on weekday do try. I have been on both weekday and weekend . The staff is friendly and the food tasty.

Excellent Southern Breakfast plus some creative tasty variations. We enjoyed the eggs benedict over fried salmon cakes. Brunswick Stew was superb - spicy and thick! Enjoy the red raspberry jam in squeeze bottles on the warm biscuits - yummy!

Mama's Boy's breakfast is consistenly delicious and inexpensive! The biscuits are amazing. The fish and grits on the weekly lunch menu is the best I have ever eaten. The food and service here are worth the wait and the fight for a parking spot. Every time my family meets in Athens for breakfast Mama's Boy is our first choice.

went there before the GA/TN game and although had to wait an hour to be seated the breakfast biscuit was the best I've ever had. Looked like a 3 egg omelet overflowing a delicious home-baked biscuit.

Don't get me wrong. I still go - even though I hate the surroundings. The food is that good. Everything homemade. Biscuits? Amazing. A squeeze bottle full of raspberry jam. Yum. Vegan friendly! But the atmosphere? Dirty, tired, mismatched. BAD need of paint and decorating. Aside from this, there's always a line out the door.
