a bit tricky to find parking, but absolutely worth a stop. We made it for lunch and the food was just awesome. Met one of the owners for a chat and she was really a nice lady. everything is fresh and well prepared. a lot of fun and filled with workers and college students

We stopped here en route to the North Georgia mountains. Nice break. We split three little dishes- pork hash, French toast, and the fennel sausage. All exceeded our expectations. The strawberry lemonade and complimentary York peppermint pie also great!

We were in town with one of our kids for a camp. We wanted to take him to a fun-college atmosphere type place and this was recommended. I wouldn't say this was "college atmosphere", at least not when we were there on a weekday, at lunch time, in the summer. Even so, you can't go wrong with a place that... More

I love to go to Mama's Boy. The food is great, the atmosphere is very "Athens" for you will always run into someone you know. I love the bottle chandeliers and eating on the back porch and that mint patty they give you with the check. The wait staff is wonderful; friendly and efficient. The food is FANTASTIC!!!! I wish... Unique menu. Not your usual breakfast. Very busy restaurant. Good sign. Had roasted vegetable hash with poached eggs. Very good. Would like to try other menu items.

This was our second attempt to go for brunch. Our first attempt a couple of weeks ago around 11am was abandoned when the wait was 30-45 minutes and the temperature and humidity were quite high. This time, also a Sunday morning, we went around 9am and the wait was only around 20 minutes. Mama's Boy has an Athens ambiance and... More

Great breakfast/brunch. Super service from Maggie. The richness of the Pork Hash was enviable. Loved it!

you make it in the door, your one of the lucky ones. this former convenience store turned cafe is an awesome place to dine, but the wait for a table usually isn't worth it. it was hard enough getting in the door days past, but since they built the new apartment complex across the street, the wait has become ridiculous!

Mama's Boy had an exceptional breakfast with traditIonal delicious homemade biscuits and grits but also some unusual trendy items like goat cheese and tofu for vegetarians and even gluten free options. I Will eat breakfast here whenever I visit my daughter.

So I finally found a parking spot at Mama's Boy! The breakfast was delicious - I would suggest the peach french toast. The omelet, grits, and biscuits are also suggested. This place is very hipster but the food was good southern cooking. If you like breakfast food, this place is for you; although I imagine finding a parking spot on... More
