The food is delicious. I had the BLT which is different than normal BLTs. The best. Fries were really great too. The chandeliers were creative and the staff were very nice and helpful. Only bad side is the parking. Depending on the time you go, the parking lot can be hard to maneuver and find a spot. But don't let... More

The food atmosphere and service are excellent. The regular menu has everything you would want but the specials are always a highlight for me! Best biscuits I've ever had!

Big fluffy biscuits, homemade jams, pies, cakes, everything fabulous! The poppyseed butter is incredible. The grilled pimento cheese will change your life! Had a great waiter and the entire staff was friendly. Even while waiting in line, they took time to say hi and chit chat a little. The scrambles are fantastic and they are very accommodating in making any... More

While visiting my son and daughter-in-law in Athens, they took me to Mama's Boy for a breakfast to celebrate my birthday. Everything was delicious. I had a biscuit (they are enormous), and the salmon cake (small but moist and flavorful...perfect) and some fruit. When the waitress heard it was my birthday, she brought my fruit with a lit birthday candle,... More

On a slower game day we got here at 9:30 and had about a 45 minute wait for a party of four. We had biscuits and gravy, french toast. chicken biscuits, and a cinnamon roll. There was plenty of food. Loved the cinnamon roll. Enjoyed everything. Service was friendly. Would definitely return.

Mama's Boy is a very popular Athens restaurant located on the eastern edge of downtown, not far from the Lexington Road exit off the bypass. I took an out-of-town visitor there earlier today and even though we arrived by 8:15 am, the place was already booming. When we left at 9:00 am, the place was packed and the line extended... More

I saw TV chef Alton Brown on another social media site plugging this restaurant's breakfast biscuit. It did not disappoint. It's a small place and very busy. The staff is friendly and efficient. If I lived in Athens, I would want to live around the corner so I could go there every day.

It's a mecca of buttermilk (catheads as they say down South) biscuits, fresh bacon, perfect eggs and the most incredible homemade (jam of the day) raspberry jam. They serve breakfast all day and that is enough to put a smile on a diner's face. Don't miss the best of Athens! I'm there every chance I get, but if you go... More

Great breakfast and brunch menu for any day of the week. Really good coffee. If the place is packed eat outside and enjoy the local flavor. One sunday the wait was so long we got our brkfst to go and walked to the park behind the building and had a kickass meal in a picnic type setting. Luv Athens and... More
