Fantastic Restaurant

I love this place. I make sure to visit every time I come to Athens. The Black Bean Chili is INCREDIBLE and has such a great flavor while still being filling.

Good place to eat! Nothing beats a vegetarian restaurant that does it right. The cooking is homemade and tastes like something that would come out of my kitchen. I like the creativity of the food and nice atmosphere. Would eat here again.

We split Tofu Reuben and Banh Mi platters. The Reuben was on marbled rye. Superb sandwich. Accompanied by okay Tomato Bisque soup. The Banh Mi was quiet ordinary. It was a veggie sandwich, that's about it. It's kind of loud so conversation is difficult. Good selection of vegan-friendly beers and wines. The host is rather surly, however. Don't know if... More

The food is fabulous. The environment is so nice. It has been there a while so it is a nice touch of Athens history too. The servers are always very kind.

So I've been visiting Athens frequently for over a year and have recently made the leap to move here at least semi-permanently. I've eaten here more than a handful of times & I have never been disappointed - even with a group of 6 on their busiest day. A vegan and vegetarian-friendly (read: no meat served here, but some animal... More

Friendly waitress fielded my questions and helped me order the Golden Bowl, extra pita & Mediterranean Sampler plus a petite salad. The vibe of the place was hip when I picked up my meal. Food was fresh and delicious! I would definitely eat here again. Vegetarians will be happy here!

I really like the atmosphere and the employees but the food tastes average to me. Next door, on the other hand, Tazikis WOWS. I will say if you have a friend/family member who needs to eat Gluten-Free, this place offers some lovely options.

Being a vegetarian or vegan, this is a place not to miss and if you like meat, I guarantee you won't miss it! You can order off their menu or their daily veggie board. If you still have room, their desserts are to die for!

Can't complain about the breakfast I got here recently- texas toast/gouda/eggs plus some veggies with (bonus?) nutritional yeast. Everything was tasty. Service was good. Nice art on the walls was an added bonus.

I'd suggest to anyone even slightly curious about vegan/veggie friendly diet options to give this local institution a try. I am a "part time" vegan, if that can be a category, and I go there quite a bit. Very consistent, filling, and tasty options, as well as a very well stocked dessert case -- try the "chocolate" cake; great to... More
