First off, the restaurant has a tiny parking lot where there is only one way in and one way out. Next if you are not one of about 20 cars that may be able to fit in the parking lot then you have to pay for street parking. The inside has a kind off well worn feel to it. The... More

Had a dinner on a Saturday night and really enjoyed salmon and grits. Prices are reasonable and location is close enough to walk from downtown shopping.

During recent visit to Athens, we had dinner at Last Resort Grill. Had read that this was very popular, so we went later in the evening and had no trouble getting a table. The food was very good and service was great. Atmosphere was very unexpected for a small college town, but really enjoyed it. We will definitely visit again... More

Whenever we are anywhere near Athens, we eat at the Last Resort Grill. It has been moved up to my favorite restaurant for multiple reasons. First the food. So flavorful. My favorite is the chicken in a bag with home made ribbon noodles. They have wonderful home made salad dressings. Everything we have eaten there has been full of flavor... More

Went with a group of 5 around 5:30 PM and the place was only partially filled. By the time we left at 7 PM the place was packed and had a long wait list on a Thursday night! The Last Resort Grill has a casual but intimate feel to it. Walking in the front door you are instantly drawn to... More

I was in Athens for work and found this gem. The waiter recommended the short ribs that comes with mashed potatoes and a warm kale salad. The dish did not dissapoint. The ribs were fork tender and flavorful. The kale salad was just as impressive. all their dressings are also homemade.

It was very quaint and the food was wonderful. When our hotel desk person recommended this "Southern Food" restaurant, I was a little skeptical. I was thinking Southern Buffet....but definitely NOT. The waitress convinced me to try the horseradish crusted salmon with split-pea puree - OMG, it was delicious!!!! They had a wide variety of pasta and steak options. The... More

Went here with parents and boyfriend for dinner on a Saturday night. Although we had to wait almost an hour for seating, everyone in our party agreed that it was worth the wait. The service was friendly and the food was delicious! My parents loved both of the salmon dishes they had (horseradish crusted salmon, salmon and grits), and my... More

Been in Athens since 2003, this is probably hands down the best place for lunch. The menu at this time is affordable and the food is delicious. Try to get there a little early if you can for a better quality experience. It tends to get busy. The only two downsides to this place is that it can get cramped... More

I was here this Tuesday with two friends. I had heard of the restaurant's fame and tried to make a reservation but was advised that they do not take reservations. Anyway, we headed to the restaurant. At 7:00 PM there actually was a line to get into the restaurant. We walked in, left my name with the host and in... More
