I am unsure why we had not eaten here prior to last Friday! My husband and I were meeting up with our son and decided to eat here for dinner. The place was full and we were hungry! We opted to eat outside vs waiting for a table. The wait staff were very pleasant. We were VERY pleased with our... More

We had reservations, but still had to wait for over 30 minutes for our table. They apologized and brought us complimentary pita chips and Hummus. The wait staff was attentive and the food was excellent. But, for the 7 of us, 4 of which had 2 drinks, the bill was over $400. Everything is al a cart. Seating is a... More

Julie, thank you for bringing your family into The National. I'm sorry that your meal did not satisfy your expectations of price, but I hope the food and drinks were as good or better than expected. Next time, I hope you'll try us for a special night out. More

I really loved the "power lunch"--four salads which were really, really flavorful. Dining companions had the ham sandwich (with fig jam!) and chicken salad and everyone was happy. Service was attentive...fun atmosphere.

I do not know why everyone loves this restaurant. The portions are small, the food is expensive. And there is nothing special about this food. There are beautiful places with great national food, but this is not one of them. Also just awful interior

I'm sorry to hear that do you did enjoy your visit with us. Our goal is present a comfortable yet elegant dining experience through food that elevates the seasonal, local ingredients of North Georgia while drawing flavor traditions from Spain and the Mediterranean. With a range of portion sizes, we hope that someone could select an entree or just gather... More

Unlike the booze-guzzling students at the local college some visitors to Athens actually want to eat non-microwaved food prepared with skill and care. We've dined twice at this one-of-the-few restaurants in this little town and it's wonderful. Food locally sourced (which means nothing if not well prepared and here it is), excellent service, a wide, diverse, and interesting menu, libations... More

My daughter and I ate a tapas-style meal of delicious marinated olives (we would eat those EVERY day if we could!), yummy home fries, AMAZING gluten-free flatbread & hummus, a refreshing summer salad and a dish of chickpeas with grilled okra, harissa and yogurt that was literally addicting! I can't wait to go back to Atlanta and visit another one... More

Great, great, great. Atcherson is James Beard winner, lots of buzz, couple places now in ATL and now in Savannah too. Dinner was great. Lots of GF and veggie optioins should you want that. Service was great, bar area great. I can only imagine it would be tough to get into this place if school is in session or a... More

This restaurant is a great option downtown. We attended Athfest and wanted something within walking distance. The Stuffed Medjool Dates were a perfect combination of flavors and a great start to the rest of our meal. Try to get a reservation because it was busy and we had first come, first serve outdoor seating. We had a few small plates... More

This once again is real cooking by people who know what they are doing. The chef has apparently travelled in Europe and understands perfectly how to make flavors work together. We didn't make a booking as it was a Monday and yet it was full to overflowing. We happily sat on the terrace with several others and had a very... More
