This place was an amazing restaurant with local fare... it was so delicious, and the house pickles were the best part of everything. I wish it wasn't closed. Oh also, candied pecans! Hope it comes back... :(

This was a very nice restaurant which closed this year. In its place is a restaurant which is mostly vegetarian and vegan. I did not care for the food I got. The service of the new restaurant was pretty poor. A grad student who had not idea how to be a good waiter was pleasant and fun but provided poor... More

I understand this place is closing.....not sure if it is actually closing or rebranding or what. In any case, the food was quite good, the service was quite good (however, bordering on a bit "stuffy" which seemed a bit out of place) and the prices are on the high side (fed four of us with drinks for just under $200).... My husband and I were looking for a casual setting with good food and we found it at Farm 255. I have to say I had a difficult time ordering because the menu is loaded with options that describe several ingredients that I might not choose to combine. I was able to get great help and suggestions from the server... More

If you care about local ingredients, you can do any better than the Farm. I just find this place to be less than healthy, as far as cooking methods. Food is rich and fatty and I think they use too much oil. Just makes it not too enjoyable to me. But they food is definitely fresh and usually organic.

Some winners and losers on the "butcherboard" starter, but the establishment deserves credit for creativity. Mains were delicious. Wine list is limited, but varied and costs reasonable. Definitely worth a try.

While some people find "farm to table" an reason to visit an eatery, I don't. I came here for dinner, part of a group of four, hoping for an upscale experience - hard to find in Athens, home of the cheap dark bar. I was disappointed. Tables are packed tightly together, so much so that my server could not reach... More

I came here with some friends for brunch and while the menu was small, we all found something that we loved. The food was all delicious and the cucumber lemonade is to die for.

This place was great. We went on Tuesday night, the only night fried chicken is available. Full bar with great selection of whiskeys and beer. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. The fried chicken is on a prix fixe menu with butternut squash soup and chocolate bread pudding. It also comes with mashed potatoes, vegetables and mustard greens. Everything... More

My husband and I ate here before attending a lecture on the UGa campus. this is a lovely downtown location. The service was attentive, the menu has creative and interesting choices. the portions may feel a tad small but are probably the size we should be eating. I made reservations - they were not needed that night but unless you... More
