We had a group of 10, and all enjoyed the evening. Food was great, and service excellent. A local musican entertained us, who was OK. He was a bit too chatty, spending more time trying to engage our group in conversation than playing music!

Chinitas is one of a few Asian-ish restaurants ... You can tell by the soy sauce bottles next to the salsa ... the food is basic, bland and not well served. I would not mind the funk of the place if the presentation were more artful, more Asian. But it is disappointing chow.

Asian fusion food is good, set in a covered courtyard with entrances to a bookstore and Internet cafe. Background music was quiet and good, but then a live musician made conversation impossible. Cost is high for Pana (but still very low compared to US). Despite the mild negative comments, still a very good place to eat.

Our group (which included two vegetarians) ate here twice during our stay. Lots of different options on the menu. Delicious soups and ample portions of everything. Nice relaxing setting.

Sorry but we thought this place was gross. Sad, floppy vegetables cooked within an inch of their life in a weird, flavorless sauce. Place is also kind of dirty inside and food made me sick afterwards. I came for the tofu and tempeh but it wasn't worth it. There are lots of places in town that offer those things and... More

This is my husband's favorite restaurant in Panajachel, so we keep coming back. Food is healthy, they have vegetarian option. And the flavor is unique.

Great food, and not a lot of $$. Felt like we were in an Asian garden. Another "safe, no belly ache" place to eat. We went 3 times, and loved it every meal.

I spent a couple day in Panajachel and I found this small cafe/restaurant one of my favorite in Panajachel. It is cozy, with nice decoration, great atmosphere, good food, there is also good wireless signal and the service was impeccable. And above all they have live music every other night. Totally recommended.

I've been in Chinitas with my wife for a tea. The tea was really good and was not just one cup, but a teapot! We also ordered some sushi. Well done with some salsas... Yummy!! There is an internet access and we stayed there a couple of hours talking and writing postcards! Recommended! The negative point goes to the treatment...... More

We went to Chinitas for a change of cuisine, and the menu looked very tempting, with a range of Asian dishes (Guatemalan and pasta dishes were also available). We both had curries, and while both dishes had seasoned chicken/beef and a lot of fresh veggies, both were let down by soups/sauces that lacked flavour. One sauce was gloopy and really... More
