There alot of choices for Guatemalan fare but this food is trustworthy, tasty and priced right. Try the Pepian or other dishes and you will be treated to what my mom use to make when I was young.

Just great food and really great employees. Nothing to dislike at this place. They offer seafood that is reall great
I love it when you can go to a restaurant and get great typical food. Just like you would make at home. The pepian is really good as is the Kai Qui. Would recommend Kacao to anyone who would like to try typical Guatemaln fare.
Excellent Food. Good Qualtiy. Great pricing. If you are looking for somet great local cuisine, this is the place. Fantastic plates to choose from. Nice atmosphere. Pricing, is good for the great food you are having. Will go back anytime!
This is not a fancy restaurant but has a great vibe to it. The food is really good. Don´t worry if you don´t eat "chile" the food is NOT hot or spicy but quite flavorful. Make sure you try the Pepián or Ka Qui. You can also try the Mayan Lasagna.

Great place for a guatemalan food newbie with a gourmet ambiance. The location at the heart of Zona 10 is excellent and within easy walking distance from the major hotels . Beautiful upscale ambiance with a rustic touch. Service was excellent and the waiters (all dressed in traditional garb) were eager to explain the extensive menu in detail. Finally settled...

Granted, I usually see more tourists than locals here, but Kacao has a wonderful ambience, great food, decent wine, and the best Kack Ick I've found outside local villages. And the two little tamales that come as a side are worth the order!
This place is good to come to if you would like to try Authentic Guatemalan food however it comes at a price. You pay more for the ambiance and the service. The traditional Pepian dishes are good but obviously more expensive here because of the location and the way it is presented.
