Still good

The hot dogs are still good here but I do have to agree with another viewer who said the hot dogs tasted a little different, my husband has been eating here since college and noticed that the hot dog was a little different but couldn't point out how. Anyway, you can't beat the prices!

My wife and I were visiting Americus for the day. We stopped in for a nibble. It was really great .Very "nostalgic ". Only drawback, they don't take Amex.

always a great place to have some hot dogs with friends and family ! Get the chili dog with slaw on it and mustard and a side of fries - might cost you no more than $3 bucks. Good grilled cheese too

I eat here often because it's where my client wants to eat but it horrible. If you have never ate at a good restaurant then you may think this place has charm. Hotdogs are the worst but cheap. I have tasted gas station hotdogs way better. Place smells terrible and dirty. The soda machine clearly has not been serviced, soda... More

Could not enjoy the hot dogs for the smell inside the restaurant. Very disappointing as I had been told it was an icon in Americus and you couldnt leave town without going to Monroes.

I still can't figure out what makes Monroe's hot dogs so special? I loved them when I was a college student at Georgia Southwestern 20 years ago…and on a recent visit to Americus, I introduced my husband to Monroe's and he had not one, but two, of their famous chili dogs! (We are back in Los Angeles now but my... More

Stopped here while on the SAM Shortline. Very good and staff very friendly. They do have menu items in addition to hot dogs, but that is what we ate and they were delicious. Bathrooms left a bit to be desire and never did find the billiard tables. If we find ourselves in Americus, we will certainly stop again.

Used to be the best hot dog place in town. Seems as of the wiener has changed. Even the staff has changed. As far as attitudes.
