My husband and I went here while we were in town and really enjoyed it. I would recommend this for a date night to a friend.

After researching restaurant options online, we chose The Station for dinner primarily due to their "Downtown Favorites" menu and Creme Brulee for dessert. MAKE NOTE: the "Downtown Favorites" are listed on their LUNCH menu so you won't see them if you go for dinner. BUT they are available if you know to ask!! The choices include a decent 8-oz sirloin... Food was just okay. The calzone was a little dry. The steak my husband had was tasty. But the steak was called a ribeye and did not look like a ribeye. His is a butcher by trade so he knows. The service was quick and the waitresses courteous. Prices were moderate.

The Station is in the downtown Americus area. While the decor and atmosphere are a little plain, the food is excellent and the service was quick and attentive.

Food was great, would not change anything. Server was rude, short, not interested in conversation, and even had a few "smart remarks" that were not taken well by members of the party (11 person party). Other servers seemed happy/nice, but ours did not. I will give them another chance, but this particular server did hurt them. Again....food was WONDERFUL.

We went for dinner because local friends said it was the best in Americus. It probably is but that admittedly is a limited competition. The restaurant is split into two sections. The bar is fancier looking if you don't mind the smoke. The other side is non-smoking but has little to no ambience. Our filets were excellent pieces of beef... More
