good food and good service

had the chef special of chicken croquettes, etc...very good and quite unexpected since other reviews were less than charitable about this place... NOTE-- they need to update their online menu since they no longer serve pizza or calzones, etc..

We like the place, located in the historic district. Food was okay, went there for lunch. Great for social gathering.

One the menu: pork tenderloin On the plate: pork loin (and not so tender, either) On the menu: grouper On the plate: talapia (frozen out of a box!) Not recommended under any circumstances. Maybe a sandwich at lunch, at best.

Heavy food, without imagination. thick cream sauces, not flavorful, but fattening. Pizza crust is overdone, sauce has no subtlety.

I know...who does that, right? It's lighter in texture than you'd expect, and it makes a great appetizer. I loved it. The jalapeno ranch sauce is served on the side. It was ok but I found myself eating the mac and cheese as served. The filet was served medium rare, and it was a mid-grade cut--fair at $22. The house... More

I was in town for a three night business trip and ended up eating here two nights in a row due to there not being many options. They have a well rounded menu that is reasonably priced. The waitstaff was ok...they seemed like they did not enjoy working there and they would have rather been doing something else. The food... More

we noticed our first night in town that this was the only place that was packed. Not too many tourists in January-they were all locals. It was so busy we ate at the bar, which was a lot of fun-except for the fact that Georgia allows smoking. Great food well prepared at a reasonable price. We had the salmon and... More

Very good lunch. Good service and good food. Enjoyed atmosphere. Always nice to have good lunch without the hustle of fast food chains.

We'd stayed in Americus before, but never dined at this location. It was a busy night but we got in a bit before dinner rush and were seated fast. The fare was varied and while my husband totally loved his steak (filet cooked to perfection), I had a bit of an issue with my blackened fish lacking spice. But then,... More
