Eat the lionfish

Asha's sits on the waterfront on the north edge of Punta Gorda, so its a great place to drink Belikin's, watch Pelicans, and eat all of the lionfish that your belly can hold. The best part about eating lionfish is that you are doing the reef a favor by devouring a nasty invader that would... read more

A night at Asha's won't disappoint with a great selection of sea food and salads, and the strongest rum drinks in town! Best place in PG for a seaside sundowner (even if the sun sets in the jungle)...

Pg is not endowed with haute cuisine... Which is part of its charm.... Ashas has to be one of the best dining experiences,... With local cuisine and a stunning venue, perched over the water. The service is excellent. We will go back there again.... And we are all besotted with the key lime tart. Save some space for that!

The food was fantastic. Lovely fresh fish dishes. A group of 8 of us, we all had something different and everyone enjoyed every bit of their meal. Great relaxed atmosphere

I liked Asha's variety, especially the list of vegetables for side dishes. The vegetarian curry wasn't my favorite.

...really liked the setting...on top of the beach! Easy, relaxed atmosphere with no waiting if you get there early.

Maybe we were just unlucky because the food was great! But we had to wait 90 minutes for our meal. The choice of seafood was fantastic though and I liked the way they let you know what was available. I think Asha's a great host!

After a long day at the Chocolate Festival our taxi driver Bo brought us to Asha's. Sweet Belizean atmosphere over the water. The Lionfish filets were great. And my favorite Sweet Belize Coleslaw. Great mix of locals and expats enjoying great food.

We were here in may, during the slow season. After trying out the restaurant on the first night, we decided to eat there during our complete stay. We tried different fish each night, all of them were prepared really good and tasty! Looking forward to come back someday during the lobster season!

Asha's has the best food in Punta Gorda. I had several seafood dishes and they where all fresly prepared and delicious. The location cannot be beat as you overlook views of Guatemala and Honduras, prices are very reasonable.
