Stopped in to see what they had to offer. Tried some coffee cake which was great! Had some cold, fresh, refreshing lime juice that cooled me off during the hot Placencia day. Also, they make some delcious chocolate cake that our group had the night before at Omar's. If you're looking for something sweet, definitely stop by!

The hullabaloo in Placencia for a treat is Tutti Frutti. Yes that is great place to go, but I have had good ice cream before. Too me and my wife the treat destination of note is Miss Goodies. Her cakes are so moist and tasty that the make distinction in your taste buds memory. More so than the tutti frutiti... More

Miss Helen had been in Belize for 12 years now, so she is pretty much a local, with American style cinnamon rolls. We went for a coffee and roll and got to have a nice chat with her. She hooked us up with her neighbor Francis, who took us on a snorkleing tour that was fabulous! We can't thank her... More

Not sure why cinnamon rolls are so popular in Placencia, but many bakeries were advertising them on signs outside the cafés... However, the rolls at Miss Goodies definitely delivered! And at $2Bz LESS than the other bakery down the sidewalk (whose rolls were also much smaller). If you like baked goods, you should definitely put this on your list :)

I mainly stopped here to exchange books while in Placencia ($3Bz each, or trade 2-for-1) but you can't not try the goodies. I thought the banana cake with a cup of coffee was a great deal at $5Bz , and you could sit out on the deck and people watch as you enjoyed your cake & coffee. Helene is also... More

We drifted in to Goodies about 3pm and found out that you need to get there early in the day to get the cinnamon rolls. We really did not need anything to eat but split a piece of banana cake. Baking in Belize is a challenge so the cake was ok but not great. Helen is a very nice lady... More

We go for coffee every day after our morning walk. We love talking with Helen. She is a wealth of information. Her baking is great. I, in particular, love her peanut butter cookies.

Helena is hardworking and a pleasure to talk to while waiting for your cinnamon roll to cool! Don't miss this experience.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Placencia for five days and Miss Goodies became a daily stop for us as we both absolutely loved it. While the banana cake, carrot cake and cookies are all serviceable, the real highlight are the cinnamon rolls. They are basically Cinnabon style but made in small batches by Helena herself each morning. They are... More
