I ordered the fish and it was one of the best meals I have had in my life! Dawn and her staff were incredibly friendly and explained all about the food. Her homemade hot sauce was very hot!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

One of the best places in placencia and very economical. Her fish and shrimp is the freshest. She always has nice baked potatoes for dinner if you tire of the more traditional rice or beans and rice.

The service was fantastic with the chef/owner coming out to tell us about her food and restaurant. She was very proud of what she made for her customers and she was quick to answer any questions we had

My husband and I were trying to eat at as many restaurants in Placencia as we could manage. Dawn's was, by far, one of our favorites and one that we visited more than once. The food and service were excellent. We had shrimp and lobster and were pleased with both. The prices were comparable to other restaurants in Placencia, and... More

I had steak and grilled lobster. My wife and kids had 2 grilled lobster tails each. The quality of the food was outstanding and the owner/chef made us feel very much at home. Prices were in line with the other restaurants in the village....about $20 U.S. each without drinks. We ate there several times and loved it.

this is a great little restaurant -- the chef/owner came out to greet us, to offer us tastes of the fried plantain patties she was working on, and to chat. I had grilled lobster -- delicious. Bread pudding with rum sauce? Why not. It's vacation. Great food and quick (for Placencia) service.

A group of friends and I came to Dawn's for dinner and had a great experience. The lion fish prepared in a creole style (tomato based sauce) was to die for. I also tried a bite of the shrimp curry and the sweet and sour fish dinners; all were fantastic. Not only was the food amazing, but the chef, Dawn... More

Looking take advantage of as much of the Belizean cuisine at hand, we came through for dinner after having passed by during lunch and getting wafts of the most alluring smell of Dawn's grilled lunch specials. And with grilled shrimp on the menu, my guy was sold on Dawn's for dinner. Having a seat on the open-air porch, we were... More

We had lunch that Dawn's Grill N Go when we first arrived. Good lunch food. Dinner was lamb and it was lack luster.
