Went there for dinner one night on our honeymoon trip and it was delicious! The owner was our waitress and you could tell she genuinely wanted us to feel welcome and enjoy the local cuisine. I had the creole conch with coconut rice while my wife had the onion and mushroom grilled chicken with rice and beans. We each thought... More

A lunch or dinner at Dawn's is a must during your visit. A variety of traditional dishes served in this cozy roadside restaurant.

We ate here for lunch and both had fried snapper and rice and beans. The rice and beans were decent but pretty crunchy- we learned afterwards that we had the last helpings which explains the crispy rice. The snapper was cooked well (not over cooked like many) but tasted like it had been fried hours earlier - lukewarm and more... More

I visited Dawn's on a recent trip to Placentia and was able to sit with Dawn as well while enjoying a meal. The food she serves is authentic and reflective of Belize which is what I was looking for. The quality of the food Dawn serves is excellent and one can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner and not be disappointed in... More

We literally let our nose guide us! Dawns is amazing! If your on a budget the prices here are the best. Everything was super clean and quaint the service amazing.... More

I don't need to say anything more than just go there some day for lunch or dinner. Eat whatever Dawn has available that day. Chat with her daughter and enjoy the moment.

A group of six of us visited Dawn's Grill for an evening meal. We had heard that it was a "Must Visit" when in Placencia. We all agree and give it an Excellent Review. We had the shrimp ceviche , Porter house Steak, gibnat stew, and Fish. Dawn herself was our cook and her daughter was our server. It was... More

We were in Placentia in October and ate many meals at Dawn's. Having many allergies I find it very hard to eat out, but Dawn stated "I WILL cook food for you that you can eat, no one leaves my grill hungry", and she was right! She found something to cook for me and each meal was delicious and freshly... More

We have visited Placencia every winter for many years and we keep coming back to Dawn's. We love her commitment to excellent quality food served with a smile at a reasonable price. The small 'Grill and Go' is an unpretentious place, conveniently located in the middle of town. We often have the grilled fish or chicken and of course the... More

Well, again we were served by Dawn herself and it was a delight to have breakfast thre. My husband had his favorite fried Jacks, and eggs and sausage , I had the breakfast burrito , then we had a very special Juice Tamarin juice. It all tasted so good. To see Dawns happy face and her attention to us was... More
