I happened to hear about this tiny little restaurant in the Village and thought I would give it try. After one meal, it instantly became my favorite place to eat, not just for the food either. Dawn and her family greet you at the door and maintain a great conversation with all her guests throughout their dining experience. The prices... More

Still has local flavor and atmosphere. Lots of restaurants in placencia are owned by non-belizians. Local is laid back and friedly. The veggie quesadilla and tamarind juice are unbeatable.

We had an excellent meal. The conch appetizer was made to perfection. If prepared correctly the conch isn't tough. I had chicken with a lovely homemade dipping sauce. Everything was fresh. The price was reasonable. An experience worth repeating!

Three of us had lunch at Dawn's. We were only offered the specials and did not get to see the menu. The daily special was BBQ ribs or chicken. It came with rice and beans which where bland. The meat was fatty and covered in BBQ sauce. The most frustrating was seeing someone else eating Ceviche and a man eating... More

Dawn has the best bacon burgers in Placencia Village. They don't always have Belikin premium but whatever beer they have is cold!

We just had dinner at Dawn's- fantastic! There were 4 of us, and each tried something different. Grilled Dorado, Grilled Conch, Grilled Shrimp, and Shrimp Creole. (and of course we shared bites of each). Everything cooked to perfection! And Dawn had just made a fresh batch of habanero sauce with pineapple that was exquisite! Prices quite reasonable, and family owned... More

Dawn cooks - her daughter serves. Really small place may not look impressive but the food was delicious on both nights we ate there. As with all places in Placencia: eat whatever the special of the day is - the freshest fish cooked perfectly every time!

Friendly little place on the main road off the beach. FRESH seafood. I had lobster tails, succulent and fresh-grilled. My partner had huge filet of grilled snapper. Good service. Friendly. Gotta try Dawn's for sure.

We ate at a couple of places that showcased Belizean food. This was our favorite. Best quality, quantity and price. We had shrimp with coconut curry sauce. Delicious. You can order it mild or spicy.

Stopped for lunch, offered 3 great choices for lunch 10-12 Bze $, all reasonable. The two of us had the chicken (a bit dry) and beef stew (excellent!). Great service and clean warm venue considering your feet away from the Main Street. Definitely would return!
