The Shak has amazing drinks and eats. We would have spent a lot more time there but they were often closed or closed early. The location is perfect. We especially liked that they were often open early morning!

Right next to the best swimming beach in Placencia, this place is great for fresh fruit smoothies, beer, rum punches, and quesadillas. Run by a Spanish speaking family they also play some wonderful Latin music - although I still could not get any of the servers to dance bachata with me!

A typical family owned place. Children doing there home work in an quiet cafe. In for Belikin and a quick bit. The Belikin was good and cool. Came quick to cool down a super warm european head. The chosen food where a Wrap with Caesar Salad. Very good and all to much. Minus for the day - It took some... More

This is a great place to get something refreshing to drink and people watch. The smoothies were very tasty. I had the Caribbean Crush and it was perfect.

The Shak is right by the dock and has a great view of the water, and people watching from the dock. We came here after our day of diving, we had some time and since we weren't staying in the village, we didn't want to go back to our BNB so we came for a late afternoon snack. Conch ceviche... More

So I didn't think I would come to Belize and have such a great salad as I did at the Shak! I had a Greek sale that was really really good also the location was nice on a beach near a marina. We also had a piece of their frozen key lime pie that I did NOT care for. It... More

The best smoothies. Some of the best fruit mixtures ever imagined. I tried the Seaweed smoothie for the first time, yum. Tastes a bit like egg nog, a must try.

The Shak is a great place to eat, breakfast, lunch or supper and it is very reasonably priced. Belizean owned, operated and staffed.
