This was our most visited place while in Placencia. We were there for brunch, dinner and snacks. I love smoothies and The Shak has a wide variety. The co-co colada was my favorite and I had several of them throughout our stay. The food was very good, actually much better than I expected from a "shack" on the beach. We... More

First off, the main picture is not accurate (wish I took one). The place looks better. The vegan 'chickpea burger' was awesome! I typically don't get a good hot vegan breakfast at restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised. They also have great smoothies - tropical blend my favorite. ;-) I recommend for a great smooths and a vegan burger!

Cold beer. Nice fish tacos. Super smoothies. Pleasant service with tables on the patio as well as tables nearer the water in the sand. All shaded.

Ian had the sexiberry smoothie which was delicious as was their Thai curry, lots of veggies. Good size portions, nice location, friendly service. Chicken quesadilla was enough for two people to share, housemade salsa. They also serve breakfast all day. Overall, a nice place to grab a breakfast, lunch or just an ice cold smoothie.

The Shak features 28 flavours of smoothies and breakfast is available all day. The mud slide is a delectable chocolate indulgence and we returned to sample the peanut butter/banana and a wonderful mango concoction. All seating is outdoors under a canopy so there is plenty of shade. This is definitely a kid-friendly restaurant - several little ones were enjoying a... More

Breakfast, lunch and dinner! Everything is great, the service, the food, the accommodations. Great view of Caribbean ocean from every table! Great drinks. Try a mud slide on a hot day!

Magda is the most friendly, gracious hostess I've met in a long time. Her smoothies are to die for, along with the rest of the menu. The dining is truly a touch of Belize, right on the water next to the new pier. A wonderful experience.

My favorite smoothie— the Carrot Burst, can be found here. Nothing better. We eat breakfast here many days when we're in Placencia. My favorite is the fruit plate, but the fry jacks and guava jam are pretty amazing when feeling like you want to indulge.

A rustic little place on the southern tip of the peninsula. Great smoothies and a great beach. The jerk fish tacos were pretty good too. Worth a visit for sure!

We passed by The Shak upon arrival in Placencia after disembarking from our sailing trip with Raggamuffin and on the way to our hotel. I was intrigued by its "look." I was looking for a good breakfast place on TripAdvisor and I saw the reviews saying "do yoga, and then walk on the beach until you reach The Shak, then... More
