The Pickled Parrot is a thatched roof restaurant and bar mere footsteps from the crashing surf of the Carribean. We have delicious blender drinks, rum concoctions and ice cold Belikin Beer. Our food is home cooked style comfort food, made from fresh organic ingredients. We specialize in hand-cut french fries, burgers, chicken cheesesteaks, and Philly cheesesteaks. Great funky vibe

Eugene and Lynn are great hosts. They have a limited, but, delicious menu. Great service, real fun atmosphere. Expat hangout (locals can't be wrong, can they?) Go there and enjoy! Oh and the coldest beers in town. Icy cold!!!

We enjoyed the Trivia Night atmosphere and the accompanying jell shots. The food was bar fare but very good. The service was a little slow but the atmosphere was a nice change of pace. It was fun!

My wife, my 17 yr old son and I visited Palencia in March over spring break. I rely a lot on TripAdvisor for restaurants reviews when visiting someplace, especially for the the first time, and saw the good reviews on The Pickled Parrot so gave it a try. Place is so laid back with great service. We went twice and,... More

Had a long boat ride to Placencia and the Pickled Parrot was exactly what our group needed. There were six of us including one eight year old and one eighty-six year old, so you know we had some picky eaters. Best burger I've had in Belize. Popcorn chicken. Grilled cheese. Fries. Friendly service and two lively border collies that like... More

Stopped into the Pickled Parrot to try and get lunch after touring Placencia for a while. We ordered lunch and had a couple of beers. The food was excellent and the service prompt. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. Recommend the Philly Cheesesteak if you eat there.

This is a great spot out of the sun right behind Street-Feet. As soon as you walk in you'll feel welcome from Eugene and Karrim. It's a nice place to sit and have a drink and they make a mean meatloaf on Mondays! The resident border collies Mia and Ziggy provide some entertainment as well. Check it out!

We went here as a family with children that wanted to eat something familiar like hamburgers or fish and chips. They have a daily lunch special which is reasonably priced and they even have a high chair for the little one. A bar at night but a good lunch spot during the day.

Great friendly atmosphere. Eugene the owner was very welcoming as were Kareem and Sheldon the bartenders. They made us feel right at home. We joined in for Thursday Trivia night and were having so much fun we ordered Cheeseburgers for dinner. WOW, were they delicious. We were invited back for a party to celebrate their new roof, what fun we... More

The Pickled Parrot has lunch specials Monday, Wednesday thru Friday for $10 BZ. Monday is meatloaf day. This is the best meatloaf I have ever tasted including my own. Get there at 11:00 as they sell out fast. Friday is fish day. Again the best and get there early.

This is a very friendly expat hang out for Americans and Canadians. Of course everyone is welcome, but North America is well represented. My wife and I hung out to watch the OSU football game, have some drinks and eat their wings. All was well and OSU won! Their menu changes each day with a special offering that is food... More
