Description: The Pickled Parrot is a thatched roof restaurant and bar mere footsteps...
The Pickled Parrot is a thatched roof restaurant and bar mere footsteps from the crashing surf of the Carribean. We have delicious blender drinks, rum concoctions and ice cold Belikin Beer. Our food is home cooked style comfort food, made from fresh organic ingredients. We specialize in hand-cut french fries, burgers, chicken cheesesteaks, and Philly cheesesteaks. Our popular everyday option is a fresh large salad topped with shrimp, chicken breast or ribeye steak. Special diets are easily accomadated. Portions are ample and prices are low. Definitely nice place to hang out(lot of expats) and Kareem was quick and fun bartender! Really didn't eat here although we all shared a grilled plate of lion fish because we hadn't had any yet and it is very nice light and tasty! Owners are very friendly with good pricing and simple but good barfood menu!

The couple running this place are very welcoming. The burgers were great but it is the laid back atmosphere that keeps the expats coming back over, and over, and over again.

They don't have to pretend this is the real deal beach beach bar in the village. Good food and drinks with funny helpful staff. Can't beat Mia and Ziggy (dogs) for entertainment.

While in the area visiting friends we stopped in here several times during our stay. We loved it, the owner greeted us and was extremely pleasant. The young man behind the bar treated us extremely well. The beer was cold and the food was wonderful. While in Belize, the pickled parrot is a must stop. Thank you for your hospitality.

If you're in Placencia, you must seek out the Parrot! Owned by a gentleman hailing from New Jersey, the atmosphere is light and friendly.
