This is just a fun place to hang out and drink, and you can play jenga too. They have it behind the counter. Eugene is the owner, and he's a real nice guy. Lots of expats hang out there, and theres always friendly people to talk to. They do food too.

We love Mia and Ziggy the pickled parrots friendly dogs. They are so well behaved and a treat to play with when you miss your own dogs:)... More

The menu is very limited and tailored for Westerners, so beware if your looking for a large selection. However, the food they do offer is fantastic! Eugene (the owner) made us feel right at home and their 2 dogs (one only has 3 legs!) were great company. Definitely an expat hangout!

Eugene and Lynn are great hosts. They have a limited, but, delicious menu. Great service, real fun atmosphere. Expat hangout (locals can't be wrong, can they?) Go there and enjoy! Oh and the coldest beers in town. Icy cold!!!

We enjoyed the Trivia Night atmosphere and the accompanying jell shots. The food was bar fare but very good. The service was a little slow but the atmosphere was a nice change of pace. It was fun!

My wife, my 17 yr old son and I visited Palencia in March over spring break. I rely a lot on TripAdvisor for restaurants reviews when visiting someplace, especially for the the first time, and saw the good reviews on The Pickled Parrot so gave it a try. Place is so laid back with great service. We went twice and,... More

Had a long boat ride to Placencia and the Pickled Parrot was exactly what our group needed. There were six of us including one eight year old and one eighty-six year old, so you know we had some picky eaters. Best burger I've had in Belize. Popcorn chicken. Grilled cheese. Fries. Friendly service and two lively border collies that like... More

Stopped into the Pickled Parrot to try and get lunch after touring Placencia for a while. We ordered lunch and had a couple of beers. The food was excellent and the service prompt. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. Recommend the Philly Cheesesteak if you eat there.
