Description: We're certainly far from perfect, but we do try our best to create a winning experience for every single customer, whether they are hotel guests, Belizean neighbors or travelers staying at other hotels. Try pairing small plates with wines, choose from our creative main courses, or just enjoy some comfort food for breakfast or lunch. It's fun for us to meet new people and, well, just make them happy! Our casual beach bistro focuses on unique sauces and contemporary, tropical-themed flavor combinations while maintaining comfortable portions. Lots of fish and seafood. Bar service includes an 80-bottle wine list, local beer, rum drinks, and house specials. The outdoor atmosphere is casual so you can be comfortable in flip flops. Belize's "Restaurant of the Year" award was presented twice to the Bistro in June 2011 and May 2013.

We first ate here in January 2012 and had been looking forward to returning. This visit we stayed in the Hotel for three days and thoroughly investigated the menus. Suffice to say that everything we were served was inventive and delicious, but to be specific the lobster bread pudding, the black truffle gnocchi and the seafood au gratin are not... More

Without a doubt the best food in Placencia and maybe in all of Belize! The location, owners, and outstanding service by the Bistro staff just compliment their incredibly delicious food. Be sure to try the Lobster Grilled Cheese--to die for! And don't forget to grab a homemade bagel if you are there for breakfast, complete with smoked salmon, capers and... More

It doesn't get much better than enjoying a fine meal in a casual, relaxed setting along the beach. During our 8 day stay, my wife and I had the pleasure of sampling most of the menu. Whether it was a relaxing breakfast while planning our day, a casual lunch or a delicious dinner and cocktails in the evening, John and... More

after several days of a good cook at a nearby resort, we treated ourselves to a true culinary treat by an accomplished chef - viva the difference! snook in a mango toasted coconut sauce has us licking the plate and you must try the lobster bread pudding - I was leery until owner Ellen described it to us and it... We had the steak burger (delicious, just know that the exotic sauce has a bite) and the grilled shrimp that was served over couscous (which I had never had, but will have again!) and it's right on the beach, so the atmosphere is excellent!

Who knew something called Lobster Pudding would make such a wonderful memory! The service was exceptional and everything we ordered was delicious! Lovely sunsets and flowing palms situated immediately next to the ocean.

I just cannot describe with words how excellent was the restaurant. We made a stop just to rest and see the Placencia beaches and we found this gastronomic treasure.

Belize offers some of the best food that I have ever had and the Maya Beach Bistro is no exception! We had dinner there twice - the lobster was cooked perfectly served with delicious garlic mashed potatoes...one night we had the grouper catch of the day served with spicy rice and mango salsa or sauce, which was one of the...
