I was traveling with my boyfriend who doesn't speak/understand much English, and I have a slight hearing problem. So, the complete lack of menu was difficult for us as I had to hear and understand the waitress and translate everything she said. Also, as there was no menu, we have no clue what we should have been charged. She was... More

The fry jacks are great! Often they have fresh juice. Great value. Consistent good food. Coffee is nescafe. This is my "go-to-place" when in Dangriega. Nothing to look at from outside. right by dock where oen can catch a boat to Tobacco.

Dangriga is a friendly place with a lot of genuine charm. It is also a very gritty place and its hard to find a nice clean restaurant. Look no further. This place is impeccably clean from the rooftop dining area to the bathrooms. That's right, a honest to goodness clean bathroom! Don't waste time with other places this place is... More

Riverside Cafe is like going home from a long trip. The locals hand there, people that are going to Cayes or fishing gather there, MR. Egburt and Ms. Madeline are very gracious hosts. The food is always good.

On May 2nd, we went to the old location and found out they had moved to a much nicer location which is located west of bridge. The food was great...I had fried fish with coconut rice and beans and my friend had chicken with rice and beans. The owner Mrs. Maudeline Westby was very pleasant and provided us with great... More

Tried my first taste of garifuna cuisine at the riverside and it was fantastic. Tried two local soups, the deliciously sweet Hudut and the hearty bundiga. Also tried Madeline's house special fish fillet, cassava fries and rum, tomato and soy sauce. Madeline is also very helpful with information for travellers. She let me into the kitchen and we made a... More

There were not so many places in Dangriga town where you can sit and rest for longer than the time you need to finish your meal, but Riverside Cafe was one of those few places. We had great lobster there, as well as a good chicken burger, with cold beers. We were also told that this was the place where... More

Had a really good meal at the Riverside Cafe. The lady that runs it is super helfpul and friendly. The snapper that I had was one of my best meals in Belize. Definitely recommend eating here!

I came during slow season. However, there was not much on the menu and sometimes I had only one choice for an entree. I wanted a beer and all they had was coke to drink. Literally that was all they had to drink not even fanta or water. I always had someone to eat with me as they city was... More

The food at Riverside is Belizean fare, but has continental fare accessible as well! The whole fried fish is the best, and don't miss out on the Cassava Fries. Everything is good!
