Our first visit to Fuegos was great! The owner met us at the hostess stand with the hostess and told us a bit about the restaurant, how it was built, how things are prepared, etc. which was a great way to start our meal. We then got an array of mojitos and nachos to start. BEST FOOD I had in... More

Fuego is pretty upscale compared to the other restaurants in San Ignacio. That is also reflected in their prices, but the expense is definitely worth it. My husband had a curry beef burger that he said was one of the best he has ever had. I had the Pibil tacos that were excellent. We had cassava fries as an appetizer.... More

As I continue to explore San Ignacio hoping to get a good feel for what may be my new hometown someday, I have to say that stumbling into this place today may have determined my future plans. It's an oasis. Simply put its what I had hoped to find more of. Not because I wanted to feel like I was... More

It's exciting to see that people are making an effort to get local and well made food onto our plates, specially in San Ignacio where it seems that everywhere you go they serve the same fare. Fuego is a perfect example of what happens when you go beyond the norm and decide to be different, while keeping it fresh, local... More

Somebody call Anthony Bourdain cuz he is certainly in the wrong place tasting the wrong food. Fuego has much diversity offering an experience in Belizean cuisine that has yet to disappoint. The food keeps rising above my expectation whenever I am in the area for business or pleasure. Highly recommended whether you are a local or tourist looking for tha... More

I come to San Ignacio frequently now and I think while Guava Limb is a quiet choice for a cool afternoon lunch, honestly FUEGO is the only great choice for an active fun evening eatery with great food and great drink. It seems to be a hang out for the who's who and the young hip and beautiful. The chef... More

I don't get to visit as much as I'd like but I have to say that everytjme I do I'm floored as to how amazing this place is in little ol Belize. It dares to be different in a place inundated with the ordinary. I love rice and beans but once a week is plenty. Thank you chef Jesse -... More
