Our first visit to Belize, and our first meal was at Cheers. Everyone was hungry, so we just stopped. No idea what to expect, but we were not disappointed. After we had learned the difference between Rice & Beans and Beans & Rice (no - find out for yourself!!), we had chicken, rice & beans, and a bunch of other... More

Cheers is a small restaurant not far from Belmopan, and near the Belize Zoo. It is a covered, open-air restautrant in a nicely landscaped setting. With large picnic tables and a family atmosphere, it is a nice place to stop for a refreshing drink or beer, and some decent food. Not 3-star or anything, but good comfort food.

It's a popular destination for folks traveling throughout Belize. Cheers Restaurant, located on the Western Highway, is great little place to eat after a long day of traveling. The seating is outdoors, under a covered pavilion of sorts. Due to it's size it can accommodate the large tour groups that come in from the cruise ships for their land excursions.... More

When in Belize there are many wonderful restaurants to try, all of which offer a unique experience, none like what you would experience in the States. Cheers in definitely the most Americanized of the places we stopped to eat but I am so glad we stopped here, lots of character and great food to boot! Something for everyone here :)

Everything I have had at Cheers is good. Great homemade giant cookies. Fresh squeezed lime juice, nachos. It is good, the service is good and the owner comes and greets us every time we are there.

When our driver taking us from Belize city to Cayo stopped here my first thought was "Americanized" place but in my opinion Cheers had the best chicken, rice and beans and all over best meal of my trip. Maybe just hungry? Doesn't matter.. It was great !

Have stopped here numerous times and each time the service is great and the food tasty and proportions adequate. Have never been there during a "cruise day" where untold customers may show up by the busload so have never had long to wait to be served. The owner often does rounds of the tables to ensure everyone is satisfied and... More

We have been to Belize several times. Cheers is our normal stop heading out of the Jungle going to the Cayes. We've always had great food and service. It is a nice and cool place to just relax and eat.
