Convenient location on the pier of the Belize cruise ship port. Downstairs offers great cocktails and light snacks, the upstairs is a full restaurant offering the best of Belizean cuisine. Conch, shrimp, fresh fish. Everything is made fresh daily. A great place to spend the day, to relax, or get up dance and party with us.

Good food and drink

This restaurant is owned by a woman from Atlanta and seems to be well run. It's upstairs so you do catch a bit of a breeze. It's right in the middle of the cruise ship compound so is easy to get to. Unfortunately there is very loud music blasting from across the way so it's not all that easy... read more

We chose the Wet Lizard on our port day at Belize and I'm glad we did. The atmosphere was just what we were looking for. We were seated in the upper level and had a beautiful view of the water. Our choice for beer was the local Belikin and after drinking one, we upgraded our order to a bucket (only... More

We were starving and couldn't find the entrance for this place. But, eventually we realized you have to go up a flight of stairs to get to it. (It's right next to the chocolate making shop.) It's a seat yourself and we will find you kind of place. So we made ourselves comfy in the overlook area. The table was... More

We did back to back cruises so came to Belize two weeks in a row. We had so much fun the first week we went back the second. We tried lots of different drinks and local foods and people watched for hours. Only negative is they have signs up for fresh lobster, but did not actually have it either time... More

Okay, I was a little leary of the place. The D.J. was playing music and people were line dancing on the dock between the wharf side of the restaurant and the other side that required going up steep stairs. My husband decided we would go and sit down and order at least beverages. Then, the special of the day was... More

So the server was actually a little oblivious to us. Food was ok. We were on a cruise and had awesome food in Cozumel and roatan. This was just ok Lobster in the sliders was really good but lots of bread. Ceviche was good.

Belize was a stop on a cruise we took. After a city tour with Karen, a lovely and informative taxi guide, we decided to eat at the Wet Lizard. We ordered the sampler plate, and it was delicious! i recommend you remember you are on vacation - don't be in a rush, and plan on slow service. They are very... More
