While on a cruise stop, In Belize, we opted for no tour. Just hung out at the port area. Nothing special at all. We stopped at the Wet Lizard, one of only a few places to eat. But me , the Foodie I am, love to try local stuff. The place is kind of an outdoor/tiki Dive. I'm ok with... More

This is a neat little restaurant located at the port so when you get off your cruise ship its not a far walk. When you get off the ship go left and then the bar is down on the left and food on the right upstairs. It was ok food and ok service. We almosts missed our tour because of... More

This place is dirty & run down. They weren't busy yet we had to flag down a waitress to get help, only to find out they were out of the one thing we wanted to try. I wanted to go because of all the reviews... I guess it is one of the only things to do in port if you... More

Well, my goodness, what a terrible day in Belize. I am so sorry that you didn't find our beautiful country to your taste. Yes it is a third world country and needs a little paint job, but the people are fabulous and there are so many amazing things about this country. As far as the Wet Lizard, well, we just... More

Food is not the greatest, but we did enjoy. Service was a little slow, but when drinks and food made it, no problem. Drinks were good, alot of alcohol, had nachos and fish and shrimp tacos. Close to the dock, people watching was good. Would go again and would definitely recommend as a great stop after shopping to snack, drink,... More

Its always nice to get your lizard wet. An easy way to wait for tender back to cruise ship. Can always go down onto the bearded clam a short distance away.

We came in on the Navigator of the Seas and had been walking along the dock when I spotted The Wet Lizard! Also noticed a couple from the ship calling to us. We sat with them ,listened to good music had a snack and consumed incredible frozen drinks all afternoon. A very pleasant place to be on a lazy afternoon... More

We had drinks and appetizers at this place since we really had nothing planned at this port. Since is was a blistering hot day, we decided to relax here. I had been here before but not in this spot. I had gone to the upstairs part of the restaurant. The view was nice and they had cold local beers for... More

I am so glad that you enjoyed yourself. Sorry about the spicy food, we try to tone it down a bit, but sometimes the kitchen staff gets a little heavy handed with the hot peppers. The dock bar has been open for over a year now and everyone loves the view and breeze. Thanks for stopping by and hope to... More

This is a great little bar on the pier. Fun, relaxing environment. We had the special which was grilled lobster with beans and rice. Really tasty! Salsa was great! Service was a little slow - but who cares - you are in the Caribbean!

As soon as I saw the Wet Lizard I knew we were going to eat there. It is a quaint place, up stairs, and the view is fabulous, in fact better than that. Remember to get a seat on the wall and listen to the music from down below. So here we are in Belize with the opportunity to try... More

Thanks so much for your detailed review. I have read it and love hearing comments our guests make, Regarding the Nacho Cheese, yes it is the liquid one, but it is kinda like spaghetti sauce, everyone uses it from the jar, but you spice it up and make it unique. We don't use it direct from the can, we add... More
