I completely agree with the two previous reviewers. The menu is varied and the food is okay. The prices are higher than the Belize average but not ridiculous. The service was attentive and friendly. Although the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, if you go through there is a lovely outdoor courtyard amongst trees. It makes for a... More

The restaurant is nice with many of the tables at open air. Food was average and the staff was attent. No complains about this restaurant. The neighborhood is very nice and safe. Prices were above average for Belize but not too expensive.

The food was okay, portions were somewhat small but the service was poor. We received our orders in a very piecemeal manner, spread out over almost an hour. The location was not crowded at all, service was just slow and the server forgot several items on the order but not on the bill, that we just had to cancel at... More

Surrounded by trees and a little turtle pond, this place was a hit with the young kids. We stayed at the Great House of which the restaurant is a part of. The food was plentiful and the fried plantain chimichanga is to die for!

Right by the top hotel in the area (Radisson) is a lovely little restaurant. The food is very nice and the value is ok. It's an open air restaurant with plants and water around you. Nice setting.

Ate here because it is directly below The Great House hotel and Belize City isn't the best place to walk around town at night. The atmosphere/environment were good but the food was just not up to par and I'm very easy please when it comes to reviewing food. The french fries were blocks of something that didn't resemble the look... More

Tasty food is served at this friendly place with a nice outdoor seating. Lobster was very good and the restaurant will satisfy anyone except those after "excellency" which is pretty difficult to find in Belize. Service is efficient if there are a handful of tables but I can imagine it to lag if the restaurant was full.

Had lunch here and enjoyed the indoor/outdoor ambiance and the lunch prices were a good value. But, the fish was severely undercooked(ok it was raw) while the rice was really overcooked. I'm guessing they just popped it all in a microwave and it cooked unevenly. At the end, they charged me dinner rates instead of lunch so we had to... More

We nearby one night, so only had one meal at the Smoky Mermaid. I like spicey, but the chicken that night was very spicey even for me. Not usually this way from what I was told. The service was great, the atmosphere was very comfy out doors in a beautiful setting. I would go back. We were with a group... More

We went there for dinner one night and the service was slow, the food was not real good and way over priced. Very disappointed!
