Food and Art Too!

The menu was very appealing....so many choices. We had the chicken kabobs which were very delicious. My daughter is a vegan, but they had selections for her also.

We fell in love with Caribbean Colors during our three-week stay on Caye Caulker. They serve the best tasting coffee on the island and offer a wonderful menu with substantial portions for good prices. The staff are very friendly and attentive!

The breakfasts and the soups might well be delicious, but just a warning, don't bother going for the sushi. I ordered the Spicy Sprimp Roll. You get 9 pieces for 7.5USD. Each piece was 95% rice, with only a tiny amount of cream cheese and slice of cucumber in the middle. Some pieces had no filling at all. 8 of... More

We visited this place on several occasions, it was always tasty and friendly. They have some nice and simple options also for lunch. I really liked the exhibition of paintings of the local artist which you can see and buy directly in the cafe.

We breakfasted at the café our last morning on the island because of its reputation for coffee, and it did not disappoint. Breakfasts here are big - lots of scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, fruit and a large bagel without the hole. There are other good breakfast places on Caye Caulker, but the coffee was the best I had on the... More

One of our favorite breakfast and lunch options on the island. The food is excellent with much to choose from on the menu. Cold cucumber and yogurt soup or gazpacho are awesome! We've eaten there twice since we arrived and both times were excellent.

After a while of travelling I crave some fresher, palette cleansing food and this hit the spot. I ordered the yoghurt, granola and fresh fruit. It was a big bowl of yoghurt, with crunchy (lots of nuts, cashews/almonds etc) and a stack of fresh fruit - pineapple, melon, banana. I was pleasantly surprised with the yoghurt, not sweet, very refreshing... More

Great banana pancakes, perfect fruit cup serving size, service was quick. Very good value! And nice local art to look at while there.

We stayed on Caye Caulker for over two weeks which is more than enough time to figure out which restaurants are worth checking out and which to stay away from. Caribbean Colors is the best breakfast spot on the island. Cafe Y Amor is highly touted as well and is good but the service between the two restaurants is what... More
