Made the mistake of going to this restaurant hungry as the name indicates it has a "little kitchen" so it takes awhile for you're food to arrive. When it does you forget about everything. Big portions as well :)

This was on my 'to do' list in Caye Caulker and very glad I kept to it. My dad is Belizean (now in Canada) and I find it hard to find a real Belizean type meal in the more touristy areas of Belize like Caye Caulker and San Pedro. But this place is very legit. I almost don't want to... More

We read a lot of reviews of this place and really were looking foward to going. The food was okay - not great, but okay. It was also a bit pricier than we had expected; we figured that maybe their high tripadvisor ratings maybe made them put the prices up a bit? We had conch fritters and a taco-ish sort... More

Our lodging host told us about this place and provided a ton of disclaimers in the process. 'You will think you're walking into someone's backyard, you might think you're walking through the dump, it might smell a little, it's definitely off the beaten path, it's more of a locals place...' and she was 100% correct. She was also correct about... More

A local recommended this restaurant to us. It's a bit of a ways back, and can be mucky after a lot of rain, but they have great food! We got the conch fritters, conch civiche, my friend got a burrito, and I got coconut curry shrimp. Everything was great, and the fritters are highly recommended! All that and a margarita... More

Been here 6 nights so far and the food here is the very best on the island and very reasonably priced. Lobster dishes were fantastic. Loved the Jerk and Creole lobster tails! Very hard to find, just ask a local for directions.

For tourists who are not familiar with Belize outside the resorts and bustle of the city (Belize, San Pedro, and busier areas of Caye Caulker), this might seem 'undesirable', but this is what Belize is all about. To get the authentic Belize hospitality and cooking, you have to visit this type of establishment. In home restaurants and 'fast food' (no,... More

People have written that this place is difficult to find, but on an island of roughly 1300 inhabitants with a five mile stretch north to south, you'd really be missing out if you avoided The Little Kitchen due to its location. It's a Mom and daughter run restaurant toward the south end of the island, tucked away from the more... More

The place itself it wonderful and the food excellent. It's a little sketchy getting there - walking down a back alley and past some less-than-desirable areas, but once you get to the little loft restaurant the food is fantastic and service as close to home-cooking as you can get.
