Great local food

Very chilled out, friendly service, great local food at very reasonable prices. We ate very well on Caye Caulker, there is a great selection of very good places to eat, without doubt The Little Kitchen was our favourite restaurant. This place might not be much to look at, but the food was excellent. For dinner we had the jerk conch and the garlic butter shrimp. This was the best jerk that I had while on the island. The seafood was very fresh and tasty.

When we were there, their grill had packed up which meant they lost half of their menu. It also meant there were long delays and service lacked. The food that came out was not that great either. However they had it against them so i would be intrigued to try again after so many good reviews. Location was nice though... More

This one is a little harder to find, ask a local and don't trust Lonely Planet to get you there. Restaurant is on the 3rd floor with a good view of the sunset. Staff is super nice and all food is local and varies daily, try one of the fish specials!

We saw the sign for the restaurant when biking around. It was close to our accommodations and decided to try it. It was worth it. The food was delicious. All the food was made fresh so don't expect to get your food in 15 minutes. It's worth the wait. The small roof-top atmosphere was charming and relaxing. Would eat there... More

Island hospitality and cooking are featured at this out of the way charming little restaurant. Fresh fish is featured on most dishes with great appetizers as well. We had barracuda cooked with veggies and coconut milk and conch fritters. It was an excellent meal under the stars at this quiet restaurant. Order a main course and a rum punch is... More

This restaurant was recommended to us as great, local, authentic food. We started with a chicken burrito (the home made burrito/ wrap was nice but otherwise it was a slim burrito). We then had curry conch and coconut snapper. My snapper was overcooked, and was bland all around, it is hard to judge the conch as neither my BF or... More

When trying the find The Little Kitchen, you may get lost, but keep an eye out for the signs pointing you in the right direction. Your search for this little roof-top restaurant will be worth it. With a great view of sunsets, delicious mixed drinks and great food, all with excellent prices, you can't go wrong. I had the piña... More

The Little Kitchen is just that - a little kitchen located atop a little set of stairs with a few little tables with a little slice of the sky peeking out at you above the trees. The food, however, is made with a lot of love, and it is delicious. My husband and I had our last meal on the... More

Tucked away among residences is The Little Kitchen. Without fancy decor and furniture, the restaurant offers delicious food. We were a group of 4: 2 people ordered garlic buttered conch; one ordered Lemon Ginger snapper filet and I had Coconut Snapper filet. All dishes came directly from the kitchen and were fresh and delicious. It felt las if we were... More
