There are restaurants that have better views and look nicer, but the food at Syd's is wonderful. It was probably the best meal we had on Caye Caulker. The service was extremely friendly and quick. Go through the restaurant to the back patio for the best ambiance. (By the way, if you see something lurking by the trees in the... More

Syd 's has good food. Sit out in the courtyard if possible. They have some of the best fried chicken outside the southern US. They also have good local seafood. Service is prompt and friendly. A nice family run restaurant.

Syd's was recommended by our cab driver. We ate there on our last night and it was wonderful. The fajitas were fantastic. We sat outside and really enjoyed our evening. Complete with "panty rippas."

We ended up eating at Syd's our first night on the island. The food was good and you get a lot for what you pay. They had hours listed as opening at 5:30 but I would get there closer to 6:30 to make sure they are ready for you.

I've had a few things at Syd's and have never been disappointed. Chicken, rice and beans, conch, ff, ceviche...all nice! It just looks like a concrete building from the street, but pass through the restaurant to the back and there is a patio. Just get there the first time...ask anyone on the street how to get to Syd's and they... More

we ate here with new friends from our rum- i mean snorkeling- cruise. fajitas were very tasty, and drinks were great too. service was friendly and engaging. i think there may have been a fountain on the back patio? anyway, it looks pretty unassuming from the street, but walk your butt in there for some good food, great fun!

I went here on a recommendation and had chicken fajitas which were fabulous. Lots of locals come here for take-out which is also an option, so always a good sign! The prices are really good and the service was great. Lovely people.

The service was extremely slow for a small plate of food that I ordered ( rice and bean, coleslaw n mashed potato. It took about approximately 15 min or more. The waitress was ok to me but no kind of customer service.
