Description: Our dishes are made fresh daily. We have a large variety of delicious seafood, beef, chicken and pork dishes. Our desserts are as special as our savory ones. We are situated on the beach in front of the Belize Water Express at the end of their dock. We cater to locals and tourist alike. We only create dishes of seafood that have been caught and delivered to us fresh from the local fishermen here in San Pedro and you may see them deliver this fresh fish to us while you are enjoying a refreshing drink or eating a meal from our kitchen. You can indulge in some fresh Sashimi or Poki Tuna while sitting here and enjoying a clear view of the second most longest Reef in the world only half a mile away. We do make fresh vegetarian foods as well for the customers that choose not to eat fish or any meats. Please note: We do take credit cards.

Licks was my first and last stop during my stay on Ambergris. The condo owner had me wait there and enjoy a lunch while I waited for my golfcart pickup. I was looking at the menu unsure of what to order when Mario the Canadian owner suggested I try the grouper that he had purchased only 10 minutes ago. I... More

Average food, average customer service. I spoke to the owner. I believe he is from Canada. He was trying too hard to impress me instead of just talking to me normally. Just made the experience a bit awkward, and didn't want to go back. The place look pretty cool though, and is in a good location.

We spent 17 days in San Pedro with our three young children. We tried a lot of restaurants and this was our favorite. On several days we enjoyed more then one meal at Licks and appreciated the hospitality of Mario, a fellow Canadian. Their bbq lobster is the best on the island. The coconut husks used in the bbq really... More

Canadian owner Mario and his staff were very welcoming to my family and I when we stopped in for breakfast on our way out of town. Conveniently located right by the water taxi dock, Licks also serves a delicious breakfast with a great, laid back ambiance. We didn't want to leave!

A simple place right on the beach with great prices and amazing food. I ate dinner and breakfast here. Breakfast menu is standard and very good. For dinner, we all sat at a table right on the beach. My brother ordered a whole snapper and I ordered a fillet of a different kind of fish (both were local and just... More

We stopped in for coffee and breakfast. I had eggs, beans, and fry jack. They make their own jam which has a hint of ginger.... Delightful. My friend had pancakes. Overall, breakfast on the beach and some interesting conversation with the owner made it a pleasant experience. We talked about his dinner menu which is created daily depending upon what... More

We enjoyed charcoal grilled lobster tail and fish, prices quite reasonable by San Pedro standards. Like everywhere the wine selection is very limited and extremely expensive, 40 bucks US for a bottle of cheap Sauvignon Blanc, but hey, wine is expensive here and you can always drink the great local beer

Be sure to stop by for a great breakfast. Look out at the water and relax. All local produce--- yum. (Coffee could be better.)

Licks was a tiny little bar, right as you get off the ferry from Belize City. It was our first stop when we got to San Pedro and our last stop when we left and we had another stop in between. There is not much to it, but it's right on the beach and it's a very laid back atmosphere.
