This was the worst meal of my trip. The restaurant I wanted to go to was closed, so I decided to try this place. I ordered the chicken meal. Lousy. First he was out of half hte salads. So I got a small quarter of chicken with hummus. That is it. The chicken was overcooked, bland and dried out. The... More

We used the Lonely Planet to guide us to some restaurants. Ali Baba was mentioned as a Libanese restaurant. Something different from the rest so we decided to try it. Wish we never did. The food was not very tasty and instead of the usual Belizian price/voljme ratio it was the opposite. We got very little food, badly presented and... More

This place is the most terrible restaurant on the entire island! The man who owns it is a scam artist, he will cheat you out of money and the prices are not the same as the appear on the signs outside. The food is extremely overpriced, and it is by no means fresh. The chicken is left out for days... More

Rotisserie chicken was good except for dryness of white meat. He was out of olives ordered. Hummus was good with pita bread. Pina colada was okay at the best. He did let me watch soccer game on a huge screen. He did keep trying to offer Golfcart rental. I did not approach him for a rental. He approached us several... More

The proprietor of Ali Baba must think that if you're a tourist near the airport you are vulnerable to a scam. He'll offer you EVERYTHING he can think of because he wants your money. You will not get a deal here, nor will you get good food. STAY AWAY! So many places are great to visitors. Not this one.

I was tired and wanted a couple of cokes for our room. I saw that this place had a convenient store setup on the side and got my cokes. Price seemed high, but I figured I was paying for convenience. Gave him American, got change in Belizian, but not near enough. Called him on it, and he reached into the... More

Despite the efforts, and the nice owner, it was just a really odd experience. So many questions and welcoming/thanking us for coming to Belize, to inviting us to a "party upstairs with belly dancers", later that evening. The food took ages and we were starving, so when our " sandwiches" (pita wraps) came with no sides and nothing but chicken... More

Everything people say in the 1 star reviews is true. Strange, slow, mediocre, expensive. Wish we'd done our research first. Worst food we've had on the island. There are many good restaurants - stay away from this one!
