Since Jo and Shelby took over Mesa, it has become one of our favorite restaurants on the island. It just feels like home when you are there. Today we had the open-faced chickpea sandwich, which was beautifully seasoned with Mediterranean spices and fresh greens with a cool dressing. I have never liked eggplant, but Jo's baba ganoush made a believer... More

The handcrafted cappuccino and coconut banana French toast was a do over for me! I had to come back before I left Ambergris. The owners were lovely as well. They were very friendly and went out of their way to answer any questions you had about the menu or the island. It was a great place to start the day.

This little cafe is delightful and delicious! You must try their coconut French toast.....THE BEST I've ever had! All of their food has been wonderful so far, and we keep going back! The owners are really friendly and a pleasure to talk with. They have a great menu, fantastic cappuccino and other coffee drinks. We love this place! Don't miss... More

I would classify the Mesa as a must not miss. The Mesa is a reprieve from all the over priced cookie cutter food of San Pedro. Not only that but the prices are very reasonable! The menu is creative spin on the classics. They also have decedent coffee drinks as well. Try the bean bene, it impressed our group!

My son and daughter recommended this place. After some of the other establishments in San Pedro I did not have high hopes. We showed up with 13 people at 1400hrs.(we called ahead with our orders). The facility was air conditioned. The food was great. Our selections were from all over the menu so we tasted all they had to offer... More

Food was amazing and the price was much lower than I would expect. The service is outstanding and the owners of the restaurant of two of the nicest people you will ever meet. My girlfriend and I asked a couple on the beach to take a picture of us and they graciously accepted, it wasn't until the next day when... More

Owned/operated by a couple who just moved from Australia. Very friendly, air conditioned, good food & beer. The French toast was delicious... One block off beach ( next to gated school).

We went there in the morning for a cup of green tea. We ended up leaving with green tea, a banana muffin, and local knowledge of where a supermarket was in the area. I normally don't eat ANYTHING banana but my wife shoved a piece in my mouth. It was amazing! Best banana anything I have ever had. They apparently... More

My wife and I had breakfast at this joint. Right off the bat, the owner greeted us and welcomed us to his place. The food: I had the chorizo and eggs with an iced macchiato and my wife had the pancakes. We are one of those couple who try each other’s plate and I can tell you that all the... More
