Nice local food

Lovely ambience - don't let the outside fool you! The food was tasty (we both had lobster - mine with garlic and my friend had the lime butter version). Good Pina Colada - with fresh pineapple and coconut.

Great food at this restaurant and nice ambience at El Fogon, but the serving portions were a bit small. Ordered a lobster dish and was disappointed that the serving portion was very small. Was at another restaurant on a different day and the lobster dish there was twice size/portion at El Fogon.

Stopped in and had their special and a few drinks. The service was really good and the food was decent. We went for lunch so they weren't cooking over the fire- so I'd like to go back for that. Felt the prices were a bit high - especially because you tend to save money farther from the beach. Three not... More

We tried this restaurant our first night on San Pedro. It was recommended to us by one of the hotel employees who said locals like to eat here. The restaurant is pretty casual with sand floors. They had a fairly big menu and some daily specials including lobster since Lobster season had just begun. We ordered everything from grilled lobster... More

We ate at the El Fogon while in San Pedro and had an excellent meal at a fair price. The fish balls are a must have! Service was great - a little off the main path but well worth it!!

El Fogon is very close to San Pedro airport. It has outdoor seating. The staff is very friendly. Order something from their outdoor grill. You'll love it! Traditional local cuisine. Fresh seafood. Drinks were delicious. We went back twice in a week.

The food ok, not better than average. It took a long time to get the food and the check once we asked for it. I wouldn't eat here again.

Staff was great right off the bat, including meeting the cab to open the door. This place came highly recommended from Julio at Victoria House, as I was very impressed. I had the blackened shrimp kabob, which was not on the menu, but probably should be. I followed this up with a very impressive slice of Key Lime Pie. Wow!... More

If you are in San Pedro you must dine here. Everything is cooked over fire each morning. We had the shrimp curry, the fish balls, and the chicken salbutes. All items were wonderful! The shrimp was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of curry..the beans and rice was something to write home about. The fish balls (who knew fish... More
