San Pedro gets busy on a Saturday night, so my wife and I felt fortunate that we were easily able to find a table at El Fogon for dinner. It had been recommended to us by a hotel valet and lived up to his recommendation. I especially appreciated the fact that they have a large menu and some especially great... More

This small restuarant is in the middle of town, so ambience is local, not seaside romantic, view, etc. The food was good, but not special. It is the only restauarant we found that offers true grouper, which was good but very small. The chicken was close too jerky level, but tasty. The service was very good. Our friends liked the... Finally after living on the island for 3 years part time we decided to give El Fogon a try. We had the stewed chicken and chicken salbutes. Both dishes were excellent. Our waiter Alberto did an excellent job too. El Fogon will be another restaurant on our list of great places to eat in San Pedro.

We were recommended to El Fogon by the dive staff and others at Ramon's Village. Dive staff frequently ordered take out for lunch. I took the family there and this was their first time trying ceviche. I think the only reason I got them to try it was because it was cooked lobster pieces. They loved it. It's an interesting... As soon as you walk through the gate, the restaurant exudes a charming, warm and ATTRACTIVE (a bit atypical for San Pedro) ambience. The reviews all describe the menu here as “typically Belizean” and everything we had was really tasty. The fish balls appetizer was delicious, and the rice & beans dishes were hearty and flavorful. They didn’t have gibnut... More

We ate at this restaurant on our second night on the island. The food was very good and the service was excellent. My dish was not seasoned as well as the dish I ate at the night before, but it was good.

We went at El Fogo. For a family dinner and appreciated the place and the food. Pasta for kids are delicious and the non-alcoholic cocktails are a real plus for the kids. Definitely a good place for a great dinner.

Had the most delicious meal of my entire holiday in Belize at El Fogon last night. Service was excellent & the shrimp in Lime & Garlic was amazing. It's a must visit!
