We rode past El Fogon several times (days) before deciding to come. The food was really pretty good, the service was excellent. The 'feel' of the place was just really cool. outside seating, thatched roof, outdoor barbecue pit, music, on street people watching. overall highly recommended.

Our waiter, Friad, was excellent. It ws our first night in Belize and he enthusiastically told us about the country and also the flag that was hanging. He was charming. Food was good and overall, one of our favorites. Not gourmet, but a good picture of the cuisine of Belize. You will not be disappointed.

Recommended by a local, this turned out to be one of our favorite meals of the trip. Very authentic Belizian cuisine- cooked with so much love. We had the fish balls and fried chicken with coconut rice and coconut rice and beans. The rice sides were on a another level! This place is a must!

We heard from a local not to miss at El Fogon. We wound our way through the streets of San Pedro town, very near the airport, and found this little hidden treasure. The menu was all fresh seafood, chicken and vegetables. Everything was delicious and the service was terrific. We loved the outdoor seating and sandy floors. Upon leaving I... More

The garlic shrimp was incredible! We ordered the Creole fish, but they brought out Creole shrimp to us. Apparently, the order was put in wrong, and we had already waited 40 minutes for our food, so we were pretty hungry. The waiter admitted that there was a mistake, and then asked, "so... Are you gonna eat it, or...?" Well, at... More

This place was good. It was nothing special and for the price I would expect something a little more unique. I would not say you are missing anything if you didn't make it here for dinner. The one thing I did enjoy was the cocorita cocktail. That was quite new to me and could drink about 8 of them.

Several islanders told us to eat at Elfogons. We went for dinner and found out that they do all the authentic wood fire cooking for lunch hours, so left and planned to return during lunch. The next day, we came for lunch. On the menu there was fish ball soup, venison stew, and the such. They had nothing vegetarian, so... More
