They cook on the open fire pit. And man can they cook. We had stewed pork dish. It was awesome. This is an off the beaten path must go.

Service here was prompt and attentive. You don't get to see this much in Belize, it seems, but this restaurant aced it (= One of the (very friendly) cab drivers recommended I tried the tepezcuintle (a small rodent). I wanted to try something adventurous and typical to Belize. Although it was a bit of a different experience, the restaurant did... More

What isn't to like?! This has wonderful food and the ginger mojitos alone are worth the visit! We went twice while in town. Lunch or dinner...worth it!

I ate one night at El Fagon with my friend. She raved about the dinner the previous night and claimed she wanted to "lick her plate". Since she is a foodie, had to go with her judgement. She was even willing to return a second night for dinner. I thought the food was average. I had the fish-kabobs, and they... More

What a wonderful little place. I order the fish Kabob- the fish was grouper- it melted in my mouth- the coconut rice was perfect. The Staff was very attentive and nice. Great little place for dinner.

This place does not look so good from the outside but the food is so good and very tasty, they cook the food with wood and trust me so delicious.

The food was really good. The restaurant had good food and was busy. Next to the airport. I would come back here.

Came here for lunch. Such a cool little spot. The waiters and host were very friendly. Food came out in just a couple minutes. Got the chicken stew and a blue island Margarita. Loved it,  highly recommend it. Oh and free wifi :)

Stewed beef and pork were great! Seems all the rice on the island is coconut, but none the less good. This place was really kinda hidden away so it seems a little scary at first.

I have been to San Pedro five times and on my last visit finally had dinner at El Fogon. I regret not having visited sooner. This place is off the beach so may get ignored but is very much worth a stop. The restaurant is not far from the water, two blocks back, and is a tiny cozy place with... More
