Great!

I loved this restaurant. Was going to go another place for dinner but my friend had this recommended and I'm glad we chose it. I got the gibnut, or "royal rat" ($27 BZD) and was not disappointed. One of the things that I like about traveling is trying new things and foods you can not get where... read more

This was a very nice place to eat. The food was great and the staff was very attentive. I ate here more than one time and the food was good every time.

Wow. This place is pretty much a dive, but the food and atmosphere is fantastic. Feels like a real local hidden gem but there are tourists there. The ceviche is the best we have ever had - we actually ordered more instead of dessert! And the shrimp with garlic rice was not far behind. Reall great casual dining experience with... More

The coconut rice was delicious. And the service was great. It was a little pricey but, hey, it's a vacation!

This was our favorite restaurant! We ended up eating there for a second time on our final night. It is a quintessential island atmosphere - sand floors, picnic benches, palm trees inside, fresh vegetables sitting out and a huge hearth in the back. My husband loved the Belizean Creole. I enjoyed the fish kebab - which was made with grouper... More

So we wanted authentic belizian food and we got it. Shrimp ceviche was super fresh and flavorful. I had the stewed beef and my boyfriend had the belizian fish. Both phenomenal. Please don't go there and order pasta, get some authentic food, You won't regret it. The service was also top notch, everyone was very attentive. Will be going back... More

If you love moist fresh fish with tons of flavor, get the whole snapper creole. One of best I've ever had. Waiter was super positive and attentive.

We ate seafood several times when in Belize. We had seafood platters many times and El Fogon's grilled seafood platter surpassed them all in quality. 2 of us split the platter and received plenty of food. The seasoning was perfect and the food was grilled to perfection. My only regret is that we were unable to go back for a... More
