As Good As Everyone Says

After hearing everyone talk about how good El Fogon is, finally made it for dinner and it was great! Lots of seafood selections that all sounded great, had the grouper special and it was very good. Enough on the menu to go back again and again. Try the fish balls, they are excellent.

El Fogon provides authentic, hand made Belizean dishes in a very homely and cosy environment. While it does sometimes get very busy - the wait is made up for by generous portions, intricate flavors and friendly service. Normally one of the spots we recommend to our guests for real Belizean meals.

We always have the traditional Belizian stu pork or chicken when we go for lunch, very similar to many of the other deli's except here your rice is served in a gourmet fashion and the portion size is smaller. You also pay about 50% more than at the street deli's. We tried to go for dinner one night, but it... More

We were so excited that they had stewed gibnet, or "royal rat." It was absolutely delicious and not on the menu. Live music was also a very nice touch.

I love to travel but am an incredibly picky eater. This place had something for everyone in our party and we all thought our meals were delicious. The staff are also very kind and informative of all the dishes. Definitely a place to put on your places to eat while in San Pedro.

We ate here twice because the food was delicious. The coconut white rice was amazing. Friendly, helpful waiters. Great local food for a good price.

The Food is delicious but the service tops it all, we have never had better service in any other restaurant anywhere, the waiter was very young and so super friendly and attentive, best service ever, thank you El Fogons, you should be very proud of him :)

This is a sand floor local restaurant that has great regional food and it was so good, we made sure to eat there twice on our trip. The staff is very friendly and it gives you the chance to try and most importantly enjoy regional food from Belize. My wife loved the stew beef and I tried several things on... More
