Palapa Bar is over the toll bridge on the north side of San Pedro. We rented a golf cart to get there. It can be very warm in the afternoon so this is a very cool spot on piers over the water. But it is small so it can get very crowded. Drinks were good and cold. It a person... More

But the location is quite windy and there are no tables so it is hard to talk while eating. More of a party place that I am usually into.

My girlfriend and I didn't make it much further South on the island than this because it was the last place we found worth stopping for. The view can't be beat and the drinks were great!

Very cool concept for a bar. Right on the water and up high. Neat that you can float in an inner tube with a drink. Just be careful and ask for prices before ordering. Some of the items not priced on the menu were expensive and the guacamole we ordered happened to be out of season so cost more but... More

You simply can't go to San Pedro and miss spending time at the Palapa....Go a little before lunchtime and find yourself a float tube and they'll lower the bucket of beers to you :) Try the deep fried bacon with horseradish wasabi dipping sauce....Go ahead, do it -- You're on vacation!!!! We'll probably see you on Sunday.....

Stopped in for a couple drinks while exploring the island. The drinks were awesome and the view can't be beat. Sitting out over the water you get great views and the constant breeze is very pleasant. The staff were very friendly and can't remember the owners name but he is a nice laid back guy.

The people were great, the inner-tubes are genius, beer lowered down to us while in the inner-tubes - UNREAL! This is a must stop for ANYONE who visits Ambergris Caye. And the Palapa punch is delicious and will knock you on your butt!

Nice ocean breezes, cold beer and great food. Float on an inner tube while enjoying a ice cold bucket of beer. I dare you not to have fun at this place.

Sit in the inner tunes and drink for hours. Have buckets of beer lowered to you. Sign your name on the wooden structure. It in the hammock. Food is just okay. A little ways up the beach from the main drag, which is nice.
