Had so much fun here we visited twice. Everyone that works here is super friendly. The food was great and so were the drinks. And you certainly can't beat the location.

We stopped in for a drink at the Palapa Bar during our visit to San Pedro. We were glad we stopped in to see what everyone was talking about, but it just wasn't for us. Great concept. Great views. We left after one drink. There are just so many other places to see. Not sure that we would return.

This place is awesome! Great views right out over the water. Prices were fairly reasonable given the unique location. We planned ahead and wore our swim suits so we could float on the inner tubes out back. They reel you down buckets of beer while you float. How cool is that?! The service was great - nice guys and they... More

We had the most amazing fresh fruit drinks we have ever had! The view was spectacular too! we wish that the weather was warmer so we could float in the inner tubes below and have drinks sent down to us! We made our "mark" on the wall! One of the coolest bars we have ever been too!

Fun and local, this bar is actually a Palapa, which is a thatch roof structure found out on the end of docks - bring a Sharpie!

Stopped by in the late afternoon as were returning from exploring the northern end of the island on a golf cart. Several Belikan beers and huge (and tasty) cheese sticks later the bar was filling up. This wacky, laid back bar is clearly a magnet for thirsty palettes. Have to come back another time to lay in the inner tubes... More

This spot seems to have a lot of local followers. The drinks were so so. Service so so. Loud customers. It seemed like a "click". Never need to go back...

Unique over water 2 story bar where buckets of beer are lowered by rope to thirsty patrons floating in inner tubes below. Palapa Bar quickly becomes a favorite watering hole in San Pedro where the ambiance is reflective of the TV series "Cheers". Great location just north of the bridge, accessible by Golf cart, bicycle or boat. Food is all... More

We made the pilgrimage to the Palapa with another couple we met at our resort and we are so glad we did! I had a lot of really good libations while in Belize, but hands down the Palapa Bar's can't be beat. Add in the location and the vibe and it's an unbeatable combo. The appetizers were really tasty too,... More
