I don't understand the appeal

The water here is sort of yucky...and the food is decent, not bad but not fantastic. Perhaps it was the time of year but when we visited Palapa Bar, on 3 separate occasions, I would never swim in that water. We went to Wet Willy's instead. Sorry....

This place is a bit crowded and that's because it is a fun beach bar. The food is good but the most important reason to go there is to relax with friends and have a few Belikins or fancy drinks. I had a burger and it was tasty.

It's an island paradise bar. The views are great and the service was exceellent. It's a must do when you're on the island.

What a fun place this is. We stopped in on a boat after a snorkeling trip and had a great time with our tour guides. We then took our golf cart there a few days later. It's a fun place with lots of neat things to look it. There's a little dog that lives there and he's fun as well.... More

all we heard from many people when we got there was to make a stop at Palapa, so we did. It was jam packed ( heading to an island wanted to escape crowds, not be in them). We were not able to get the attention of server or a bar tender ( since they were slammed ) , for 25... More

We were so excited to go here because friends had been here and the online reviews made it look so fun, but we were pretty disappointed. There weren't very many rafts, from the website it looks like there are so many, but when we were there we saw only about 6 and most were half deflated or really beat up.... More

Excellent fish tacos and pulled pork. Fun atmosphere. Open palapa you can feel sway a bit with the breeze. Nice owners. Only dissapointment was only beer would be lowered in the buckets to the innertubes and that was the main reason why went.

We popped in to the Palapa Bar and Grill for a quick afternoon drink and we found it difficult to leave. Stunning views and a fun, party atmosphere.

Had a few beers at this place. Pretty unique in that its a large 2 story bar out in the water. I was there with my kids so we quietly got our drinks and then hung out downstairs away from the commotion. but a very cool place
