If you visit San Pedro you should make time to eat here. Good menu with reasonable prices. We had the lobster burrito that has the equivalent of two lobster tails. Enough for two people unless you are a really big eater.

I think this is quite possibly the most expensive El Salvadorean restaurant I've ever eaten at. While the pupusas were where I thought they should be, everything else was ridiculous. I get that most of the items on the menu contain seafood but I don't understand how locally caught seafood could be that expensive. I've never seen a $30 (US)... More

Using TA as our food finding guide, last night we had a wonderful, reasonably priced, excellently prepared and served dinner at Waruguma on Middle (Pescadore) Street in downtown San Pedro. Our male server was sweet, quick, helpful and efficient. The food including 2 lobster tails slow cooked in garlic butter, with beans and rice green salad with dressing. The food... More

That Waruguma has not yet been featured on one of those shows yet with amazing signature dishes is a shock. The lobster burrito is delicious...served with 2 lobster tails on top and an amazing sauce. Its definitely big enough for two although so tasty you may not want to share :) Service was great and ask for the watermelon juice... More

As new locals, we have really fallen in love with Waraguma. After all, you'd be hard-pressed to get lobster-stuffed burritos flanked by a split lobster tail for a decent price anywhere in the states. The portions are enormous and the flavor of the coconut cream dishes is subtle and divine. Ceviches are fresh and also more than enough to share.... More

While in San Pedro, we ate several times at Waruguma and were never disappointed. The first dinner, we feasted on a delicious special, twin lobster tails. For other meals we chose their delicious Papusas with tomato sauce. Personally, I prefer their ($2.50 Belize) Papusas prepared out front at night. but they are all good. Service is a bit slow, but... Return trip to Waruguma did not disappoint. Shrimp burrito had like 1/2 pound of shrimp and a delicious tomato based sauce along with the rice and beans. Pupusas were delicious as always. Ceviche was very tasty and the price is always right at this place.
