Great food

We dined here twice. It's the hotel restaurant of the Phoenix, but I'd still travel to eat here, even if I wasn't staying here (and if you are, it's a no-brainer...) It's not on the beach, it doesn't have rustic decor or sand floors. It does have great food. Everything on the menu is a good choice... read more

We had the conch chowder, fig, goat cheese and prosciutto salad, honey chipotle glazed short ribs, and the shrimp in a habenro thai curry sauce. Everything was wonderful!

Nice enough space but the food is underwhelming and the price reflects the fancy location at the Phoenix (not the ingredients or quality).

Hotel food at its most mediocre. Service was chatty but not functionally helpful, slow, out of sequence. Dishes were hit and miss. Some adequate, but never inspired, and others were poorly executed, esp the Zucchini fries.

This gem of a restaurant is located inside the Phoenix resort at the north end of town. Order the Snook with crushed cashews - you will not be disappointed!

We last ate at Red Ginger about three years ago and had enjoyed ourselves there. Six of us at there this past week and were somewhat underwhelmed. Part of the issue may have been that four of us had the tasting menu (two of us did so with wine parings, which did complement the dishes nicely) which was rather average.... More

We stayed at The Phoenix during our week long stay in Belize. So, we had Red Ginger for lunch at the pool, and room service from Red Ginger for dinner 3 of the nights we were there. Everything we ordered was VERY good! We ate at a couple of other restaurants in the area, but none of them were as... More

After searching all over San Pedro, we happened upon Red Ginger. We were the only people in the place which is interesting since the meal and service was very good! The mango mimosas were a treat along with the French toast. We were not staying at the hotel and would make the trip to eat there again!

Have been frequenting this wonderful restaurant weekly for four years now (six months each year) and I continue to be amazed at the quality of the food and the exquisite service by an outstanding staff. My wife and I have tried everything on the menu and have never once been disappointed..
