We loved the complimentary sunset boat ride from the pier at San Pedro waterfront to the Matachica Beach Resort about five miles north of town, and then seeing all those stars on the way back. The restaurant had our reservation for thirty people, but it nevertheless took about twenty minutes for them to set up for us. The service was... More

We loved every meal we ate and Mambo (and we ate every meal during our stay at Mambo!) Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all spectacular and the cocktails were to die for!

We were picked up at our resort, X'tan Ha and wisked away to the beautiful resort where Mambo is located, from there is is all down hill. Feel like I was in an alternet universe from the rest of the reviewers. Our service was down right terrible and the music was the sound track from my 7th grade dance, not... More

Loved the food and gracious service. And the setting is beautiful, great place for a romantic dinner.

Enjoyed the complimentary water taxi to the resort, we were warmly greeted and very impressed with the staff and our server Paula. We enjoyed the ravioli appetizer (which could have served as an entree if you had a salad with it), the ceviche, crab stuffed grouper, and scallops. The latter was served with a delicious mound of guacamole with plantains... More

The service was great and they came and picked us up from our resort, however the food itself was not really worth what we paid for it. The filet mignon was slightly overcooked and the chocolate cake dessert was actually very bitter. Again, it was okay but not great.

We stayed at Las Terrazas and Mambo will send a boat to pick you up and take you back after dinner (a really nice touch!). The place is beautiful! We got a tour of the Mata Chica (the hotel at which it is located) - we would definitely consider staying there if we traveled without our kids. The servers are... More

First - get the Mambo Carpaccio (seviche-sliced-snapper) and last, get the soufflé. This is a place to treat yourself. DELICIOUS. You won't be disappointed. Excellent, fresh food served with a laid-back but professional air.

We went to Mambo for my birthday and was the choice of a more sophisticated restaurant. The restaurant is indeed beautiful with a very cool decoration. Food was good but we had better at other more "popular" restaurants in the island. We still highly recommend it but suggest you get a table away from the door since it can be... More

We didn't stay at the resort but at a house not far from there. We walked to Mambo's one night night for dinner. They ask if we were staying there and did we have a reservation. When we said no, they said they would have to see if they could seat us. Which was odd since there was almost no... More
