Best Italian in Roswell/Alpharett

I've been eating here since the first week this place opened back in the mid-90's. It has some killer standards (Lasagne Boulegnese), but I really like the way the chef changes the menu up so you can try new things on occasion. First class.

This restaurant is in a plaza right across from where Nesbit Ferry hits Holcomb Bridge. di Paolo follows a traditional Italian menu with small plates, antipasti, first plates, second plates, and sides. The first plates can be ordered in "half portions" which is nice. Price expectations are $30-$35 per person with tip, if you get either a first or a... More

We dined at DiPaulos recently with friends who were visiting from out of town. We chose DiPaulos because we wanted to take them somewhere we were confident we would have a nice meal. Though we were pleased (as we normally are) with the food, we were not as pleased with our server. Our servers in the past have been down-to-earth... More

Food and staff are consistently excellent at this small, friendly Italian restaurant. Good selection of appetizers, pasta (many available in half portions) and entrees. Wait staff is always professional and knowledgeable about both the menu and the wine selections. Ask questions, you might learn something. A very friendly atmosphere, never too noisy for a conversation. At prime time, you'll need... More

Authentic, well executed Northern Italian in the burbs is not easy to find. DiPaolo consistently delivers first and second course offerings to delight the palate. I have dined here since Susan and her brother owned the place in the late nineties and the quality of the plates and service have not suffered one bit under the current ownership. Try the... More

I have been to Cucina di Paola years ago. This is the same restaurant with a slightly different name and ownership. The lasagna was recommended to me by a friend and I had to try it. It lives up to it's billing. I think the béchamel sauce put it over the the top. The caesar salad comes with more than... More

I recently had dinner with an old friend and she recommended DiPaolo's in Alpharetta, GA. Actually it is kind of between Alpharetta and Roswell tucked away in a strip shopping center. Upon entering the establishment I was immediately struck by its neighborhood feel. Muted walls, down lighting and lovely art adorned the walls giving the restaurant a warm and cozy... More

If you like Northern Italian food - not all that red sauce, not Olive Garden (sorry), you must try diPaolo. In all the years we've been going and we're not 'regulars' by the way, it has never lost its perfection. We usually sit at the bar and have seen quite a few bartenders. How is it that every one of... We have been going to this restaurant with our friends for years. This visit was disappointing. Our long time favorite lasagna was doughy, pasty and undercooked. The scallops were raw. When we brought this to the attention of the Manager he said: "That is how our Cook likes to make it" di Paolo just lost four long term patrons.

Definitely disappointed it was in a strip mall but the interior was pretty nice considering though small. It is great Italian all home made and very quick. Our server was very attentive but not irritating.
