We had lunch there one midweek day. The restaurant and the adjacent bakery are attractive and the desserts in the display cases are absolutely gorgeous. We were promptly seated and orders taken. My husband had a fussili pasta dish with a bolognese sauce and mozzarella and I had the Italian dip sandwich with the parmesan fries. The serving of pasta... More

Had a good, not great dinner. They brought the appetizer and the soup and salad all out at the same time. I had the veal and it was good, not great. Desserts were off the chart....snicker cannoli was very interesting.

Alpine is great place to go for lunch and for dinner. They have a wonderful variety of dishes and their deserts are out of this world. Nice atmosphere.

After rave reviews from friends, we went to Alpine to celebrate a birthday. No question, it is a good looking restaurant (started aas a fantastic bakery and we expected the same from the restaurant). Looking at their menu, several things became apparent. First... The menu was really very pricey. Second, and this is kind of funny, Lasagna at dinner was... More

Four entrees were ordered...all different. All four missed the mark! I ordered the special which was supposed to be "shrimp piccata" with a grit cake. What came was 6 large shrimp stir fried or sautéed in a butter sauce with some capers. The sauce was flavorless -no lemon or wine flavor. The shrimp had not been tossed or dredged in... More

We like to treat ourselves to a nice dinner every now and then and this is our "go-to" place. We can depend on fresh ingredients with delicious results. Their breads are freshly baked and desserts (to die for) are all in-house made.

Their food is good, but too expensive. The desserts/bakery of course are superb. The waiter may be a little try-hard-to-impress but lacks-the-heart-kind; and he was a bit confrontational to ask and say that he wasn't satisfied with his tip. One food server shoved/slid a hot plate towards the end of our booth table, pushing against cutleries; and didn't even smile.... More

We went here to celebrate graduation of family from UGA. We had 10 people. Waiter was rude, Did not listen to what we ordered. Ask for room temperature water with no lemon. I received ice water with lemons all over it. I ask again, Please can I get water with no ice and no lemon... I got cold soda water... More

The best plate of white clam sauce I've had in a while....and don't miss the desserts. If nothing else, just stroll along and look at everything in the cases.

After 4-5 trips to this restaurant, I can honestly say they never put a foot wrong. Most recently, I went with a fellow knitter midway through a day of exploring yarn stores. It was chilly and raw and we were delighted with the warm and hearty fare. Balancing the pasta and soup was a perfectly dressed perfectly fresh salad. Our... More
