Growing up Albany Ga we ate Jimmy's hotdogs many times. They were great !! On a visit back in Sept 2013 I had to visit the famous hotdog stand ,a childhood memory. When I bit into a hotdog I bit into something really hard causing awful pain. I did not want to alarm the others around me who were enjoying... More

Pretty straight forward hot dog place with chili, onions, mustard, cheese and slaw as topping offerings. I think the highlight is the buns because they are toasted with a hint of sweetness like a Hawaiian roll. Prices vary from $1-2 depending on toppings with quantity discounts. Chips and bottle/can drinks too. Just carryout, no place to eat in. CASH ONLY.... More

Jimmies has been around forever. Forget Jim Crow Laws, race riots, MLK, Jimmies has been serving up awesome hotdogs in Albany GA since the beginning of time. We are talking basic red dye whatever-number hot dogs on a white bun. I go for coleslaw dog, my husband loves the chili dog (go figure). No eat-in, just take-out. Most time you... More

The restaurant is located in a small building across the street from the Greyhound Bus Station. There are no seats inside but there are some benches outside to the left of the... More

The dogs are the historic red, but there's some corner-cutting going on. First, the dogs need to be at least as long as the bun, and second, the chili -- if it's going to be out of a can -- needs to be a good quality. If you're stopping in at lunch, be prepared to be eating a dog that's... More
