Just what it's supposed to be

When you think of seafood shack fish camp kind of place you are thinking of Singletons. It's right on the water.. has good fried shrimp (what I get) and I hear good things about all the other dishes. Sit on the deck... enjoy the view.. a cold beer.. and some good seafood.

There are only a handful of "must go" restaurants to go to in the Village of Mayport. This is one of them. Best dang shrimp Po Boy I have ever had. This is a rickety looking place on the water, cats on the porch and shrimp boats out back. The servers are great with lots of personality. Most have been... More

I had heard about this place for years, so we took the ferry across the river to try it with some friends. We had been to Safe Harbor and decided to give this a shot. We sat outdoors and the service was friendly. The food was not nearly as good as that up the road. The popular fish dip was... More

This fish camp like environment should not fool the seafood enthusiast ! The primitive surrounding help keep secret the fine seafood prepared here. It is some of the freshest seafood I have ever tasted. Reminds me allot of the wonderful seafood from the Florida Keys. Get there early as the wait can be long. The secret is out on this... More

I recommend planning to have dinner outside just before sunset. It is absolutely breath taking. Erika is an amazing waitress who takes very good care of all of our needs and goes above & beyond our expectations. The Buffalo Shrimp is my favorite.

Was in Atlantic Beach and looking for a good seafood. Was told by locals that this place was great. Well, when you arrive, immediately you think it is a "hole in the wall" and should be good, but then you realize after food arrives that there is hype because of Diners, Drive-In, and Dives fame. The shrimp were mushy and... More

I've been going there for years. Must be the location (overlooking the St John's River) and the fresh seafood. OK, the place is a bit tumbledown and makes one think 'spit and sawdust' (OK - no spit, just sawdust), but that's what makes its character. That and the restaurant's cat population. You can eat inside, outdoors or on a covered... More

This restaurant has been featured on Diners, Drive ins and dives for a reason. Large portions of seafood and the beer is cold! Great place to visit, either as a visitor or as a local. Great selection of locally caught fish and all of it is well prepared.

The service was good. The seafood was good. We had steamed oysters, fried shrimp and buffalo shrimp. The onion rings were generous. We took home a doggie box of food for later. The floor could have been cleaner. The restroom and overall is a shack.

I LOVE this place! If I lived close this would be my hangout, the location is beautiful. The food is always awesome and the drinks perfect. A place like this is more than a restaurant its a laid back experience that makes you feel like your leaving family and friends at the end of your meal. Hey, I wish I... More
