Best tasting clam chowder soup!

My husband saw this restaurant featured in Diner's, drive-ins and dives TV show and thought for us to check it out first chance we get and were not disappointed. We started with each a cup of clam chowder soup.......hhhhmmmnn VERY TASTY, best we've had. I ordered raw oysters for appetizer and it... read more

This place is set on the water and has a nice atmosphere. The food was good, but I thought a little pricey. Singleton's has been there for a long time. Ponce de Leon probably ate there. It is something that should be tried. It has the reputation of being THE place for seafood in the Jacksonville area.

I asked a local where a good, fresh seafood meal could be found and they pointed me to Singleton's. Not disappointed, in the least. While the outside of the establishment did resemble a small, rustic "shack" I was surprised to see how big the restaurant was. Once inside you could see the fresh seafood in a case. The waitresses were... More

Singleton's serves fresh local seafood deliciously prepared at reasonable prices! The dockside location added to the experience. I had the blackened triggerfish and my wife had the fried shrimp and both of them along with the collard greens, coleslaw and everything ere outstanding! They even had local sheepshead on the menu.

Like a salty old fisherman with the wisdom of the sea, the Shack is "rustic" but delivers great fun seafood straight from the sea outside. Sit on wooden benches at wooden tables inside an old building or on the covered deck enjoy the boats. Get ready for some large amounts of good food. The large platters are huge and can... More

This is a waterman's place and a monument to those who still make their living on the water. Believe it or not, it's where I bring my 95 year old mother for lunch when I visit. In the winter we eat indoors but the real pleasure is eating outdoors on the waterfront with it's natural and boat/ship activity! The high... More

The staff was very friendly. I had heard so much about this place from friends. The "shack" part of the name isn't far off so I didn't expect the Ritz. The food was very good, but it wasn't something I couldn't get at half the price up here in Fernandina where I live. We were there around lunch time but... More

Definitely a local restaurant with local flavor. Very casual dining in a rustic setting. Makes you want to just sit back and enjoy the evening. Seafood was very good especially the alligator appetizers. Service was very good with a splash of local charm. Put this restaurant on your list when in the Jacksonville area and allow yourself some time to... More

Met some friends here for lunch. Food was great! We tried gator and conch fritters. I had fish tacos which were delicious. It's definitely a shack, but that's ok. It adds to the ambience of the place. Great view too. Much enjoyed.
