I wish I could give a better rating - Just average at best

I have been here a few times, yes a few times ... because it's average. The truth is, if the line at Safe Harbor Seafood was not so long we would have been there. The food here is just average, the entrance smelled a little this time and the service was good. If you have other choices, go... read more

Glad all my tetnus was up to date. Place is filthy and the food was too. Not sure what the attraction is/was. Ordered steamers as an appetizer. Too bad they were over cooked, shriveled and tasteless. Oh here ya go just add some ketchup to the accompanying horseradish and voila! Instant cocktail sauce...Up next a clam strip roll. The teeth... More

I grew up in New England where we had many seafood restaurants. I have been disappointed in most I have visited here in Florida until I visited Singleton's Seafood Shack. It reminded me of home. I had the scallop basket with Cole slaw and my son had the shrimp basket with fries. We shared and there was more than enough... More

The food was average and it was served with plastic knives and forks on plastic plates. For that I would have expected to pay a lot less.

It's definitely a seafood "shack" in every sense of the word. We're all southern coastal people, so the plywood walls and floors, eclectic decor neither surprised nor charmed us. We just wanted good seafood, and Singleton's does have good, fresh seafood. We had fried shrimp and oysters, and they were good, but nothing else on the plate was. That said,... More

My wife and I from out of town, and two friends living in the Mayport area, stopped by Singleton's on a wonderful sunshiny day and sat in the outside screened-in patio with excellent view over-looking the St. John's River. It is right near the ferry boat crossing over to Amelia Island north of Mayport. The family-friendly, casual-dining, reasonably-priced seafood restaurant... More

We stopped in on a beautiful day and enjoyed eating on the deck. Service was a tad slow, but we didn't mind because of the pretty view of the St. John's River. We ordered fish sandwiches -- grilled Mahi & blackened trigger fish. Both were really good. We also enjoyed the fried pickles. I would definitely go back here.

I am amazed how well this large, busy restaurant handled our party of 50 people. The food was hot, delicious and abundant. Food: 4-5/5. Service: Friendly, courteous, cheerful and family-friendly. Amazingly smooth for a sudden appearance of 50 customers. 5/5. Atmosphere: 4/5 with ship models, crab traps, rustic with paper towels and no tablecloths or placemats. Value: 4-5/5 $$ $31.82... More

I knew it was going to be good when I walked in and smelled the food. Steamed shrimp were great. Just moved from Maryland so I was a little disappointed the shrimp weren't cooked in Old Bay. But they gave me some upon my request. I will be back allot in the future.

This place has such sticky tables I had trouble lifting my arms. The food was OK but not great. I'll go to Safe Harbor just down the road.
