Everything's fried and the atmosphere is dark and dirty. Skip this place and go to the fresh seafood place before you get to Singletons. Horrible, greasy seafood.

Think the name shack should fool you, it doesn't disappoint. It's a shack and we love that! Love a place that is well loved that you know the walls can talk! We ordered lots of appetizers. My favorite was the alligator tail. It was delicious. The buffalo shrimp was pretty tasty too. Hubby tried a locally brewed beer there, Manatee... More

After watching Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, I expected great things from this place and drove out of the way to go here. The building is dilapidated, the dining room stank, and the food was WAY sub standard and much too pricey. My fried oysters breading were not even cooked and the fish was rubbery. Didn't taste fresh at all. For... More

I was hungry for seafood and decided to go to Singletons last night. I was cold and loved the bowl of oyster stew! It was excellent, just like my grandmother used to make. The dinner portions are quite large, so bring your appetite, and enjoy.

This place looked like it had been under water a couple of times. Ordered the grilled shrimp and fried oysters, with collard greens and green beans. The shrimp had a old taste to them, and was broiled not grilled. The oysters tasted like old grease, and actually upset my stomach. The collard greens tasted like someone put hot sauce and... More

We've been coming to Singleton's for 5 years and we are never disappointed. Tons of food, always delicious, great service. This is our #1 choice for good, fresh seafood.

Brought the whole family here day after Thanksgiving. The Sheepshead fresh catch was awesome and the fried scallops were too. We even got a 7 year old to try the grilled gator and she loved it. Great place to hang out and even the youngsters enjoyed watching the boats and taking the ferry over.

The restaurant is on the water with inside seating and outside seating. It's interesting that the outside seating is both screened and open air. The waitress was nice and checked through out the meal to see if we needed anything. We ordered the New England clam chowder which was voted the best in Jacksonville. We've had New England clam chowder... More

Worth the time and drive to the docks. Great fresh Shrimp! If you like Gator , they have a rare find blackened and grilled. Come hungry large portions.

We had not visited Singleton's in several years and were pleased to find it unchanged -- still the "seafood shack" that we had always known and loved. Simply stated, they have the best fried shrimp anywhere. Their other dishes are good too, but it's the shrimp I go for. And you get plenty of food. I love you, Singleton's!
