We stopped in to take the cruise yesterday and decided that lunch was also a good idea. If you haven't at least stopped by here to meet all the cool folks, then make a point to try it out. The river cruise was fun and the Captain was very knowledgeable. The food was great as well. We'll go back for... More

I took some friends on a leisurely boat trip up the Peace River to the Nav-A-Gator. This is one of those iconic local places that when you are in the area you need to experience. While you can go by car, the best way to experience it is to go by boat. We saw some of old Florida, a couple... More

Try the BIG fish sandwich. It is really good and can feed a small army! It is what I order when I visit the Nav-A- Gator. Love the atmosphere.

This is a great place to experience old Florida, or real Florida. My husband had the special hamburger of the day and I had a salad with chicken breast. We both though the qualify was very good. The reason we went there was to rent a canoe. The Peace River and Deep Creek are right there and the scenery is... More

There is nothing fancy about this place but that is the ambiance of this "Old Florida " style restaurant/motel/marina. Anytime I am on the west coast I have to go there especially when Jim Morris is playing. The food is mediocre and reminds me of a fish house, mostly fired but fresh. I always found the service very friendly and... More

Bill and I have a difference of opinion about the Nav-a-Gator. I don't CARE that the service is agonizingly slow, that the kitchen is minuscule, that the food costs too much or isn't that great. This is a place you come for the ambiance; good, cold beer; the best local trop-rock music; great stories from Captain Kirk; and decorations straight... More

It's not fine dining. It's not fast food. I'm not even sure it's on the map. We go to the Nav-A-Gator by boat for the experience. It's generally a good time if you put yourself in a Jimmy Buffet state of mind. Relax, have a drink and enjoy.

Slow, rude service. Food is way overpriced. You can get the same quality or better at many nearby establishments for a better price and less attitude from the servers. The place itself is a neat place.

Don't make a habit of catching your favorite band here. They've been known to cancel on bands at the last minute. Matter of fact that just happened yesterday. And to think I came all the way from Tennessee for this...shame on you. Nav-a-gator. - Granny

The only reason I was going to this establishment was because I was going to see a band I fell in love with when they played in my hometown...then I found out that they did not pay them. Shame on you!
