Sunday afternoon

Just moving to the area, we discovered the Nav-A-Gator Grill. I love the atmosphere and can't wait to go back this Sat and Sun for Trop Rock. Service needs a fire cracker but it,may get better.

We live in Port Charlotte and have stopped by Nav-a-gator many times, but today will be our last. The food and drink have both gotten ridiculously expensive! And the portion sizes have decreased. They used to be affordable. Cross that place off our regular list!

Dropped in for some food and beverage after a very challenging and hot day. this is just what I needed. Not too many people around, nice and relaxed. I had the grouper dinner lightly blackened, it was cooked perfectly. I felt the price was a bit high. My friend had peal and eat shrimp but they weren't raw, seemed to... More

After a awesome air boat ride, we stopped for appetizers and drinks. Decor is rural hometown Florida water wildlife: fishing gear, alligators etc. We preferred the conch fritters rather than gator bites. Bites had texture of chicken with fishy flavor. Good to try once, which my friend (who is not adventurous) tried. Hearts of palm had delicate flavor, our favorite.... More

this is an old-time Florida restaurant, with a lot of locals. Don't go if you're in a hurry, but if you have time to relax, go on a Saturday when there's live music and sit back and enjoy. Beer is cold, service is slow, but friendly. And some of the best conch fritters in Florida!

First time. Last time $18.00 for grouper (supposed to be) sandwich NOTHING ELSE just the sandwich. Overlooked, fish taste never tasted in grouper? Before. Butterfly shrimp were like Gordon's frozen you buy in store. Service was not very good. Too pushy to drink more and order more food items. At the end of the meal for the grouper sandwich, shrimp basket, 2... More

Charmed by the decoration, great location high up on the peace river. We usually come for the ambience, a cold beer and to show the place to our visitors and friends. It's a good place to rent or launch a boat or kayak.

Went on a Sat nite for drinks, music and be with friends. The music quit as we arrived, the service was so slow. Drinks and chips and salsa took forever. The service was terrible. Drinks don't take that long, refills nope. They are missing out on many a bar tab!! The waitress could not remember what we had or ordered,... More

We were looking for somewhere new to go. Yep, this is where we found (we wanted to be outside on a gorgeous day). Service was terrible. Musician playing outside was worse. The food was edible but we wouldn't go back. It ended up taking us almost 2 hours to have lunch. No excuse for beer and chips/salsa to take 30... More

Be sure to walk the grounds when you go to the Nav-A-Gator. Better yet, make a visit when live entertainment is scheduled at the large Tiki hut pavilion, particularly if SW Florida's own Jim Morris is singing. Jim is a talented song writer who mostly sings his own Tropical Rock songs. He has even written one about Nav-A-Gator Afternoons. Probably... More
