Great old Florida fish shack

We enjoyed sitting outside enjoying the weather. You can come by car, boat or seaplane to this restaurant. Not too busy when we were there but can be packed when a band is playing

Be sure to walk the grounds when you go to the Nav-A-Gator. Better yet, make a visit when live entertainment is scheduled at the large Tiki hut pavilion, particularly if SW Florida's own Jim Morris is singing. Jim is a talented song writer who mostly sings his own Tropical Rock songs. He has even written one about Nav-A-Gator Afternoons. Probably... More

Not quite sure why I stopped here again except that is an interesting place and I wanted to show it to my friends. The service is consistently lousy and deathly slow. Food is ok but nothing special. the decor is rustic to say the least but quite interesting to look at. A real shame that they can't seem to get... More

When you're looking to relax the speedometer and idle for a bit visit here. The rustic surroundings reminds you of Florida as she was. The food is amazingly good from the little kitchen that serves this place. Take a walk around the property and enjoy the old Desoto Marina, visit their unique gift shop or venture down the Peace River... More

Great music poor service! Have been a patron for years, they encourage you to bring your chair and kick back to listen to Trop-rock. They have a new policy no service if you are not at one of their limited tables. So if you plan to listen to music bring your own food....what are they thinking?

This is a beautiful location on the river. Out of the way and can be reached by car, boat or plane. There is usually a band and they have boat rides, etc. Very laid back, bring your own chair and relax and enjoy the show. It feels like this is the kind of place that people come back to repeatedly....kind... More

Must I say.. great, if you love the old florida style. Lots of fried fish and fries on the menu. Very rustic, and oldish. Good beer, and by they way, while you are here, stop in their little Florida museum. There is a boat launch, and dock. They also offer great tours on the Peace River. "Don't forget the Gator... You can get there by road, water or air. We usually take our boat up the Peace River. About 30 minutes upstream from the 41 bridge in Punta Gorda. The place is rustic with lots of old back woods charm. It is not large but they have a large outside eating area too. They often have live entertainment. The food... More

Best fish and homemade fries. Very friendly atmosphere, good service. Not a place to go if you are in a hurry. They let you know they are slow by their signs, nice outside seating in the sand. We go there every time we come to Port Charlotte.
