Another star in Tamara's mini-empire of Apalach. Dog friendly, covered front patio, pastries to die for, and the best arepas (Argentinian corn cakes filled with various stuffings - bacon, egg and cheese; chorizo; veggies; etc.). We always stop at Café con Leche on our way out of town for one more breakfast arepa. Cute little boutique inside as well. Other... More

My husband and myself were searching for breakfast in Apalach and came across Cafe con Leche the only restaurant we could find serving breakfast. We entered and asked if we needed to seat ourselves or what and the Spanish lady behind the counter pointed to chalkboard menu with very few breakfast items so we asked if they served bacon eggs,... My husband and I stopped her for lunch during our walking tour of Apalachicola. We both got sandwiches. Took a few minutes to get them but I think it was because they were freshly made which is a good thing in my book! I got ham and cheese on croissant; it came warm! With a yummy green dressing on it!... More

A small, unique coffee shop filled with local art. PLEASE NOTE.....this is not Starbucks and it is very laid back but the coffee products are great and (Most Important) consistent. The food is very good but the pastries vary. My wife and I will make the 10 mile trip just to caffeinate and hang out.

Walked in, sat down and waited. Server was so busy talking to a couple she obviously knew that she couldn't acknowledge our presence, interrupt her conversation or wait on us. Got up and left without being able to get a cup of coffee. Poor service, won't be back.

Just stopped in for a coffee, but couldn't resist the baking. We had a guava pastry thing - amazing, and something that was called a "monkey bun" or something like that, also totally delicious! My espresso coffee was great too.

Always fast efficient and friendly service. Great coffee, delicious baked goods, free and open wifi. The best place in town to relax after shopping or just walking around town.

Like another reviewer, I really wanted to like this place because area offerings for espresso are slim. The coffee and arepa special were excellent, but expensive, and service with a smile was lacking. I didn't feel very welcomed; more as if they were doing me a favor. But, I will give them the benefit of another try on my next... More

I was going to go back to make a formal complaint but decided to reach more people through Trip Advisor. I chose the restaurant/retail business before retiring and I understand the importance of customer service. When my son and I went into Cafe con Leche last week the employee behind the counter actually said to my 23 year old son....."Where... More

Every time I went to Apalachicola I gave this place a chance. There are few breakfast options in Apalachicola- the options I like are Caroline's and, well, Burger King! I REALLY wanted to like this place because places like this remind me of New York, specifically the West Village where I lived while in graduate school at NYU a long... More
