Our waitress was very attentive she greeted us as soon as we entered the building and was also great throughout our meal. Great seating on the water. Food was good and a large selection of options to choose from.

The reviews of this restaurant originally had us hesitating on eating there but we were impressed with the contraption used to char grill oysters so we wanted to try them. ! ordered the char grilled oysters and they were excellent! Not the cheapest @ $17 per dozen but the only char grilled oysters in town. (Beware of microwaved oysters all... More

Everything to eat is expensive in a coastal/resort town. And even when it's pricey, Boss Oyster serves most meals in red plastic baskets and paper. That said, their Charred on the half-shell with Parmesan menu item will have you making mmmmm noises. Their specialty is oysters...the other seafood is extra pricey for the mediocre results.

We were just taking a day trip from Panama City to St Georges Island and St Joe Peninsula and knew we were going to stop in Apalachicola to have oysters. We weren't sure where to go, but stumbled into Boss Oyster, it looked kitschy enough and a little reminiscent of old Key West. Our waitress could not have been more... More

They have the best baked oysters - if you don't like the topping, just ask if they can do it -- many times they will fix you right up. Hmmmm good!!!!

You've not had oysters til you've had the Boss's! The deck is best place to sit for views of the river. Service is fast and friendly. All the seafood is good, but my favorite is a raw dozen on the halfshell.

Kristine C, Thanks for your kind review, "Outstanding oysters". Your favorite is a dozen on the 1/2 shell. Ours to. That is the essence of this oyster. You came to the Boss. We are dedicated to this oyster. The Boss sits on the Apalachicola river all waterfront. The Boss is the only oyster bar in Apalachicola to harvest this oyster... More

We were staying with friends on Lake Talquin outside Tallahassee and we went on a side trip to the Florida Bend "Forgotten Coast" and stopped in Apalacicola at Boss Ouster. I had both raw and fried and both were just outstanding. They sure beat the heck out of the oysters and service I received at the most famous oyster house... More

My spouse and I happened to plan a night down in Apalachicola during the weekend the town celebrates their opening of the Christmas holiday season(known as Thanksgiving weekend). Santa arrived on a shrimp boat and while the kiddies and their parents stood patiently in line, we thought we'd be smart and head off to dinner. Albeit rustic, don't let the... More

Arrived in Apalach on Sunday afternoon. So okay. Out of season and Sunday. Most of the more popular seafood shops were closed. We went looking for seafood, oysters, appetizers, drinks, and some atmosphere. Great all around menu, with oysters, seafood, cooked all different manners. Cold bar drinks. Great view. We decided to see what else might be open. It was... More

Great lunch with friends. Seafood and appetizers were awesome. There were seven of us in party and the service was fantastic. Try their chargrilled oysters and gumbo.
