Very nice ambiance, tasty food.

Tamara's has a great location along the busy business district of Apalachicola. Atmosphere is refined, calm, even a bit elegant. The food has a South American flare that makes it different. That said, the food was not extraordinary and a tad under seasoned for my taste. We might go back but there... read more

Good location and easy to find. Pleasant staff. Food was not at all bad in any way, just not great. We had Paella that was overly peppery hot and a bit light on seafood for the price, which is not the way we've usually experienced it, e.g. in Spain or even other US restaurants. Salad was overly vinegary to us.... More

My family and I went to Tamara's for mothers day nothing on the menu interest me but we had a wonderful servicer (Kristi) who talked me into trying the pecan crusted grouper with mash potatoes and steamed vegetables which was delicious I recommend this restaurant to everyone!!

Nice selection, good service, good wine. A little pricey all things considered. Crab Filled Snapper and Salmon dishes were good.

This restaurant is a lovely little place with a pleasant atmosphere and very good food. The wine special was a red Zinfandel that we both enjoy, so our evening started out on a positive note. We chose to share a delicious pear carpaccio salad. We were extremely pleased to have it brought to us separately. My salmon wrapped in prosciutto... More

Tamara's has plenty of traffic & a central storefront in historic downtown. Based on many of the reviews I'd read, I expected better food. I really like black bean soup, & have enjoyed a variety of preparations. I'd read that Tamara's version was exceptional, but I found it lacking. Ths beans were whole, not pureed, & I was especially put... More

We shared two dishes - the fish tacos and the Venezuelan black bean sour and small crab quesadilla. They were both excellent choices. I'd never had Venezuelan style black bean soup - it is creamy and smooth, just wonderful. The quesadilla was excellent with lots of crab meat. The fish tacos were grouper and some of the best I've ever... More

We heard a lot of great things about Tanara's and frankly it did not live up to expectations. It was good but nothing exceptional. Snapper stuffed with shrimp and grouper sandwich. Just ok.
