tasty fish & steak

Steaks & seafood prepared as ordered and fresh. Sits on the main street with large windows to see the sights. A little over priced.

This is an attractive restaurant that could use better exterior signage. The food was very good. Our party recommends the yellow fin tuna, the soft shell crab tacos, and the pecan encrusted grouper-and the key lime pie.

Ate here 4 times while in Apalachicola on our visit. Nothing compares to Tamara's Cafe. Original meals made to order. Worth waiting for each meal. Had the same server twice, she was the manager angela, and remembers everything, as we are very hard to please. My hubby had Pecan Grouper, out of this world, had to beg for a bite,... More

5 PM Sunday and we were the only two in for dinner. We were told our choice of seating was unavailable, they have reservations you know. Taking other seats we reviewed the limited menu and ordered Crusted Grouper and Shrimp Alfredo. No salads come with the meal but "are available for $5.00 more". Bread was served with the waitress announcing... More

Atmosphere: artsy, funky, cool. Service: prompt, friendly, helpful. Food: excellent, excellent, excellent. Fish tacos were the best I've ever had. Shrimp and grits was a hit with my MIL. Highly recommend the black bean soup. Everything cooked perfectly and it was so good, we had to come back the next day!

I loved the fried oyster salad--some of the best oysters I've had. The breading was light and perfectly seasoned to compliment, not overpower the oysters. And no oysters beat Apalach's. My husband liked his hamburger. Decent selection of beers as well. I wish we'd had room for dessert because they looked fantastic!

My husband had the fried oyster appetizer. He said the oysters were the best he had ever had. I had the pecan crusted snapper with jalapeño sauce. It was also delicious. It is a small restaurant, and very relaxing. Our waitress was very good. We enjoyed our meal very much.

Tamara's Café has delicious Pork Loin with black beans and rice. Please notice the historical decorative tin ceiling.

Great breakfast! We sat outside at the little cafe tables and ordered Blueberry Pancakes with ham and also a breakfast wrap. Both were inexpensive ($6-7) and very good and filling. Great place to grab a bite!
