Tamara's Cafe is one of our favorites in the Apalachicola area. Everything on the menu is delicious, and really love their pork loin meal with perfect spices, black beans, rice, and fried plantains. And the homemade salsa they serve with it is out of this world! I buy a container of just the salsa take home. Everything to eat in... More

You can't go wrong ordering anything on the breakfast menu. The location is delightful right across the street from the river. Used books lying around make for pleasurable browsing and locally crafted jewelry and other arts are available for enjoying and purchase.

We enjoyed it so much the first time, we came again the next day for dinner and we were bit disappointed! I have tried Key Lime Pie everywhere in Florida and it certainly was the best here! My husband had the rum flan and it was divine! The peel and eat shrimp were delicious you did not even need the... More

Grilled grouper. Yup. That's all I have to say but apparently my review has to be 100 characters so.... Space space space.

Very friendly helpful staff. My husband had the paella and it was sublime! I had pecan encrusted grouper, very tasty, but the star was the paella. Dessert was a huge plate of cinnamon encrusted sopapillas with Carmel and chocolate sauce accompanied by a scoop of homemade ice cream. We ate every bite. If ever in Apalachicola again we will be... I had a wonderful lunch of breaded and fried pork loin over yellow rice with a side of black beans and fried plantains, with a really good local beer. It was excellent I will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Apalachicola.

I came to Apalachicola for a business trip and a local women suggested I try Tamara's Cafe. So, so glad I did. I tried the cup of black bean soup first, and I must say it was wonderful. They had many lunch specials to try, but I went for the creole pasta with chicken, sausage, shrimp and tons of other... More

Stopped here for breakfast. Service was quick and friendly. Food was very good and freshly prepared. STRONG coffee! Prices were a little above average.
