Really like this place and never had issue with food. It is a casual family restaurant. I love the pioneer chicken breast dinner. with 2 sides. Chicken in marinated and grilled. Comes with 2 sides. Most steaks come with this marinade so if you want a regular steak just tell your waitress. Great hamburgers, salads and much more. They do... More

A great, little family-owned restaurant in downtown Alachua. Food was excellent, and the price was just right! Definitely eat here if you ever visit Alachua.

I live in Alachua and have eaten here many times over the past twenty years. I The atmosphere and service are excellent. The food is really good and the addition of the sweet bar/ice cream parlor about ten years makes this restaurant a fantastic place to eat.

I know this is suppose to be a great place for cow, but I've found the steak sometimes tough and a little flavorless. My pals love the hamburgers, and they are very big, but I like to eat out for things I don't normally make at home. Conestoga's have a great lunch menu, and on Friday they have a fish... More

We usually eat lunch here every couple of months when we are in Alachua. The restaurant is a family style and a lot of local folks eat here. We like their southern style country fried steak. We also like that the have a senior menus if you only want a lite lunch

Wandered into Alachua out of curiosity, decided to have lunch at the Conestoga Restaurant. Rustic, quaint atmosphere, friendly people. Amazing sweet potato fries, thick cut, not greasy at all. Excellent SMB - Swiss mushroom burger, well cooked, good seasoning. Conestoga salad had nicely flavored chicken pieces on top. Even the shell-your-own peanuts on the table have a subtle spicy flavor.... More

A great place to eat. If you have not had a Stogie Burger with sweet potato fries. You truely are missing something great! Great steaks, chicken, salads, and more. If for some reason you are unhappy, Just ask for Rick (the owner) and he will right any wrong. Good food, people, and service. Go hungry!

We have been eating at Conestogas in Alachua for over 20 years. It is a rustic old restaurant with western decor. It is not fancy, but that doesn't stop the patrons from coming. It is very busy and very popular with locals. However, the quality of the steaks has gone down considerably over the years! We celebrated our anniversary in... More

I'm astounded by the reviews that people are leaving for this restaurant. Mom & Pop steakhouse? Their steak is tough, flavorless and overcooked. Their decor is atrocious. Honestly I wonder if people know that 15 min down the road is the town of Gainesville which is a REAL town that has REAL food. Not greasy overcooked flavorless food. Or even... More

On a recent business trip I had the good fortune to eat lunch at this restaurant twice. Both meals were very memorable. On both occasions I had different waitresses. They were attentive, friendly and warm, making me feel like I was eating at the home of a friend. The menu is extensive and no matter what you get whether a... More
