This is one of my favorite local go-to restaurants. The atmosphere is relaxing, non-intrusive. The staff always extremely courteous and attentive, and it offers, in my opinion, the best Thai food in the vicinity - besides it's sister restaurant, The Blue Elephant, in W Hartford. The fact that is it BYOB also means you can eat great food and not... More

This happened a while ago, maybe 6 months, but it's been bugging me, so I finally decided to write a review. Been there 4-5 times in the past year, and the food has always been above average to excellant. However, the last time we were there, with another couple, we were still eating and there was maybe one other table... More

Good foods and free desserts. Nice people. Nice place. Looks good and taste great! They speak Khmer so that makes it easy to order also.

We regularly get takeout food from The Elephant Trail. They have a wide variety of options, can customize any order, and are moderately priced. I would highly recommend this restaurant, or their sister restaurant on Main St. in West Hartford.

Went with friends from out of town... Was excited to have them experience this dining experience.... Failure..disrespectful service..meals a lot of flaws..no apology from staff or management. Embarrassed to take anyone there again. Food returned 2x they didn't bring what was ordered. This was a mid week dining so not busy there. Waited long time to be seated even with... More

Although this restaurant was busy it was an awful experience. 1. We were greeted by the hostess who asked us to wait and then answered the phone and left us standing and didn't come back to us! 2. We ordered 2 soups but they only brought 1 of them! 3. The chicken with cashews was tasteless 4. We sent the... More

My wife and brother and sister in law had gone to a farm festival and an outdoor concert in Simsbury and afterwards we looked around for a place to have dinner. As we drove through the next town of Avon, a violent thunderstorm exploded. We stopped at a promising looking place called The Elephant Trail. We all love Thai food... More

fresh and flavorful, best to dine in while it is hot and nicely presented- I love the garlic chicken dish, pad thai good also, we've had better curries, but overall a very good experience

This is my go-to place in the area to satisfy cravings for Thai food. Everything on the menu is fabulous, and the staff is attentive and kind. The ambiance is also very cool - modern and clean. Worth the stop every time.
