The food was excellent for my daughter's rehearsal. We were in a private area so that we did not interrupt other guests. We were a large crowd of over 30. The staff was very accommodating.

The decor is great and the server was polite, however, the food was very average at best. I attempted to order lasagna but they were "out". Decided to split the spaghetti with bolognese and meatballs. We asked for angel hair pasta but that's not what we were served. We got fettuccine noodles. The sauce had no flavor at all; it... More

Pizza and burgers are good but the pasta is overcooked and the sauce is sweet and tastes like Prego. Good prices, nice decor and good service though.

We stopped for dinner with another couple. The restaurant occupies and old building with several dining options It. Some areas are more appealing than others. Menu is quite varied and we all found something to eat. The selections include Italian and American. Pasta was Ok Sauce was nothing special. The mode is one of a New England eatery. The best... Can get busy for lunch, but you can sit in the bar area or dining. Outside seating in the summer as well. Server in the bar area is super friendly and remebered what we ordered the previous time. Portions are huge as well. Prices are decent - sign up on thier website for emails & you get 15% off for... More

Have done take out a few times but was very disappointed with our Last try. Our Ceasar salad was old and tired with brown lettuce. Had we eaten in, it would have gone back in a heart beat. Just disgusting that such a quality restaurant would serve anything like what they gave us. Our small pizza was way too thin... More

First and Last is an Avon institution. Consistently good food, casual atmosphere, friendly staff and a relaxing experience. We sat next to the kitchen and it was a bit loud - may want to choose another spot for conversation. But the originsl plates remain a home run every time. The chopped salad wad very good and the lasagna delicious! And... More

For a late lunch, I ordered one of the "Original Specials" dating from the 1930s--sausage & peppers. When it arrived I could hardly believe my eyes -- two large, WHOLE bell peppers standing up, plus three long, whole, spicier peppers, plus a generous helping of Italian sausage and a separate plate of shells with a tasty (although a bit watery)... We recently had our rehearsal dinner at the First and Last Tavern with a group of 25 people. I had previously spoken with the manager and we had decided on pizza, salad, appetizer and dessert with pitchers of beer and wine to be served with dinner. The food was good, however, for 25 people, we only received one plate of... More

My cousin and I meet every couple months here for a long visit. We go at lunchtime. Servers are attentive but let us have our 'space'. We always split an antipasto and then have soup, a side of meatballs or a sandwich. I often get a bowl of soup and am never disappointed. Today I had cream of mushroom --... More
