We went here for lunch on a weekday and had a great meal. We split a beer platter (with a surprising quantity of beer, along with two pretzels) and each got some main dishes. The schnitzels are excellent, as are the sides. I lived in Germany for two years and often miss the food. This place is the perfect remedy... More

Went to Helga's in Aurora, Colorado. First time in over five years. I used to go there when it was in another location, (6th and Peoria). On this trip the Jäger Schnitzel was the best I've ever tasted. It came with the best Spatzel I've ever tasted. Although the price is sort of high it was well worth. The service... More

First time at this restaurant. Love German Food and Helga's did not disappoint! For an appetizer we had the Pfalzer pretzel for 2. The pretzel was warm and the mustard was very good. For dinner, I ordered the Breaded Schnitzel with the red cabbage and spatzel, and my dining partner ordered the Jager Schnitzel (both were pork). The gravy was... More

Made internet reservation .were seated immediately. Ivonne our server was super, chatted with us in English and German. Food was great as usual and served fast and hot. After placing food / dinner order I was able to fill my need for deli meats and good rye bread at the deli counter.. Nice atmosphere also with old fashioned music playing... More

It is primarily a schnitzel or brats and beer place. Maybe my expectations were too high. The brats are amazing. The schnitzel is average. The roasted pork was not very good. The sides are delicious. The beer is excellent. There is also a deli that sells brats, strudel and other euro goodies (at very high prices). The strudel was disappointing,... More

we went as a group. our server yvone was polite and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came out quick which surprised one diner in our party as she is a local and said usually there is a delay in the food but worth the wait. One order came out cold it was correctly quickly. Literally in 3 minutes... More

I always enjoy coming here. The food, beer, and service is good. Reminds me of the food my Grandma use to make when I was young.

I can't think of any other German restaurants in the Denver area. I have eaten at the Black Forest Restaurant in Nederland, Colorado, in the mountains west of Boulder a number of years ago. There is also the Edelweiss in Colorado Springs. But in Denver I don't know of any others. I did not think the prices here were out... More

Helga's is our "go-to" place for German food. Schnitzel of all varieties, spatzle, rouladen, bratwurst, sauerbraten, ham hocks, and pretzels. I even brought my cousin, visiting us from Karlsrue, and he gave it his seal of approval. In the past, Helga's has done a big Oktoberfest celebration in their parking lot. It was always a great time but they haven't... More
