Seriously wonderful German food. Our server, Marcus, had excellent suggestions from beer to sides, he was able to recommend a perfect meal. My husband and I love German food and seek it out in our travels. In the US, Helga's has become a new favorite. We will go out of our way to go through Aurora, CO simply because of... More

We love Helgas for the service that is always friendly and the food is great especially the specials they have throughout the week.

The food and drink are amazing. Ask the bartender for their best recommendations. The wait staff is awesome.

This restaurant is a gem in Aurora -- it's unpretentious and tucked away near Aurora Mall. We started out sharing a hot pretzel as an appetizer -- along with some great Warsteiner beer. Then, dined on our main course (including nice salads) which were Duck Confit, Helga's Schnitzel and Jaeger Schnitzel. The duck was some of the most tender and... More

We went on a date night with another couple purposely on the last Friday of the month. On the last Friday of every month they have a live band that plays German beer house favorites. You eat beer house style along long tables, making friends with the people next to you as you enjoy the most authentic German food I've... More

We visited for lunch around 1:15 on Thursday. Helgas looks like it might have been in an old Red Lobster building and looked welcoming from the outside even though it is in a run down mall. There were only three tables of customers in the restaurant part and we thought we would go into the deli part of the restaurant... More

The place had good reviews on tripadvisor and other sites. Thought I would give it a try. I order the Bratwurst dinner with two smoked thuringer brats, spatzle with brown sauce and red cabbage. I thought the entire meal was not flavored very well. The brown sauce was bland and the red cabbage was also very bland. Not much smoke... More

An excellent spot for German food just a bit pricey. I would go again just probably not that often. We went for a lunch date and while it's a nice little quaint spot perfect for an occasional lunch I really would have to be craving German food to go more often.

A wonderful, filling and appreciated German dinner. My wife and I go at least 6 times or more a year - first, because I am partial to authentic German food. This is a family restaurant that has been in Aurora for at least 40 years. We have been so lucky that the younger members have stay in the business. The... More

Great place to go for traditional german food. Prices are a little high but not unreasonable for the portion size. They have a ham dish that makes you look like Fred Flinstone when you eating it, if you pick it up to eat it. they also have great beers and live music on certain nights.
