Family owned business that has authentic Greek cuisine as we were treated to an excellent dinner with appetizers & drinks with superb quality lamb chops not to mention the desert to go was made from scratch and fresh. A must for Greek lovers..

Went here for lunch. Restaurant was pretty empty, but even so the service was pretty slow. Waitress forgot several items. When the food arrived it was OK. Gyro meat was excellent, pastitsio was very good, lamb chops were great, but the salads and avgolemono soup were quite bad. Overall, there are definitely better Greek restaurants in the Denver area.!

I met a long time friend here for breakfast and I was a bit taken back when I walked through the doors. I am not sure why I had never visited this place before. It's so close to my house and now after going once I will return. The atmosphere is quite unique. The decorations that adorn the walls are... More

If you are in the Aurora area for breakfast stop by the Athenian. Tom, the owner makes the best pancakes. Bloody Marys are yummy. My favorite entree is the vegetarian skillet, very, very good. A family oriented restaurant. Kids menu has funny face pancakes-cute. Opa!!

We had the pleasure of eating here with a group of seven. We ordered the saganaki (flaming cheese) and it was delicious! We all had the chicken orzo soup and loved its creaminess. We ordered and shared from two giant platters offered, and everything we had was outstanding. We were treated like family and really enjoyed the complimentary ouzo at... More

Amazing little restaurant with a true Greek style and menu. If you like Greek food, this is a must stop. Waitresses are great and make the experience even better. 4 of us went, all had different items, all great, we sampled each other's. Save room for dessert, there great.

Went for lunch. Started with the chicken orzo soup (not lemony enough for me) and calimari which was amazing. We had several different sampler plates all of which ranged from good to very good. Desserts however where outstanding! A must have was the fried custard thing and the baklava was amazing.

Recently had Sunday breakfast at the Athenian Restaurant. I chose the Greek Skillet (served minus the skillet) and it was very good. Home fries with green pepper & onions on the bottom; topped with gyro meat and 2 eggs of your choice....feta cheese scattered over the plate. It was a very large portion which I could have shared with another... More

My bride and I love the Athenian and try to dine here several times a year. The service tonight was OUTSTANDING (long-time waitress who is not part of the family but does the job because she loves people) and the food was up to its usual excellent standards. Giant portions, reasonable prices incredible soup, and so much more. Highly recommended... More
