Dripping With History...In A Good Way

My wife and I had drinks here two evenings a row. Loved the decor, loved the service, loved the drinks and loved the prices! Yes, $10 for a Manhattan and $12 for a Mojito. Back in Boston a few days later, we paid $20 for the Manhattan and $22 for a Martini!

Great bar and atmosphere. Hotel built in 1889. The décor is from the 1890's. Very comfortable seating.

We always enjoy stopping in here for a drink and appetizer when we are in Aspen. The bartenders are great, and you can't beat the people watching.

Love the vibe, food, and service at the J Bar. Just fancy enough to have that Hotel Jerome/Aspen flare, but mostly down to earth so you can just chill out and have a good time. A burger w/ their delicious coleslaw is my favorite, but I've never had a bad meal here. The drinks are great too. Can't wait to... More

You can just sense the history at Jerome hotel as soon as you enter. You can just picture Hunter Thompson making himself at home in the J Bar.

Super fun trivia and good drinks, great atmosphere, a very laid back crowd for Aspen. Despite being a busy spring break night, service was decent.

I've visited the J Bar several times over the years and have many fond memories. But the breadth of the menu and the quality of the food have slowly deteriorated. I write this with hope that the new owner will restore the place's glory. Until then, I'll be dining at the White House in Aspen.

We went here for a drink one afternoon. The decor is great and it was a really fun bar to have a drink at, although we went when it was a little quiet. The bartender was great and recommended cocktails for us to try. He was more than happy to make drinks that were off the menu for us, and... More
