No trip to Aspen is complete without a burger from the J-Bar. While the food has remained excellent (I can only speak to the burger because I'm pretty sure that is all I have ever ordered there) the service and atmosphere has gone down hill over the years. We went to dinner there on a Friday night, knowing it would... More

Have eaten here many times over the years while visiting Aspen and will likely continue to do so. This is a historic bar/dining area that dates back to the 19th century when Aspen was a mining town. Both the bar, itself and the decor harken back to that time period but, of course, there are several big-screen, TV's mounted throughout... More

we dropped by around 6pm for a drink on a sunday evening and then decided to stay in the bar and have something to eat too. Waitress was brisk with a veneer of friendliness. I ordered a salad but then made the mistake of choosing to have chicken with it. the chicken coating was so overly salty I couldn't eat... More

The burger was AWESOME and I am a certified burger afficianado. Im the dude that knows what a good burger is brother and trust me, this burger is... More

I loved it here. The chicken wings are great and so are the cocktails. The bloody mary is amazing! We really enjoyed every minute.

Great service. Great drinks. Had a blast, made new friends. This is what a ski area bar should be. The history here is obvious - that it still works so well is what makes it cool.

I'm an Aspen local. The J Bar is always fun, low key, and local. It's a "scene" and full of interesting characters. Burgers, chicken wings, bbq chicken salad the best. Skip the stuffy lobby bar - it's slow and boring.

sat at the bar our first night in Aspen, my husband had the Reuben and I had BBQ chicken salad. the bartenders are great, all kinds of creative unique drinks. we were offered a few samples while they mixed the drinks. I highly recommend the hot buttered rum as a night cap. We were back two nights later for more... More

Our first evening we arrive late at our hotel and were looking for a chill out bar, our hotel suggested the Jbar we arrived they had a selection of domestic beer and Stella which was off, the guys were great at suggesting alternatives, Greg... Ate here a couple of times when we stayed at the Hotel in September. First night our waitress was a little slow and did not appear to be that busy nor concerned about us.....was not bad but compared to the rest of the stay was a little off. Food was good, good burger and sandwiches that night. Came back the... More
