Boisterous, historical bar.

Loud, boisterous bar in the Hotel Jerome with a beautiful Tin ceiling. Where Hunter S Thompson used to hang out. Noone is doing hallucinogens here anymore, at least not out in the open, but it is still loud. Drinks are good. Didn't eat here so read elsewhere for the food.

Full Disclosure: I went for the Hunter Thompson factor. But it was a gorgeous bar with a great history. Friendly staff and quality bar stools!

This is definitely the type of old western bar we were looking for and our waiter, Ted was very attentive and nice. Just had drinks, but had a great time. The bartender, Louise, was lots of fun!

We enjoyed a visit to this place, shortly before sundown one day. The style is very pleasant, seating is fine, service was just the right balance of attentiveness and hands-off. Food was OK, but not more than that. Prices were a bit high. But one might expect that in a place like this. When one rates on a curve, with... More

Our group of 4 adults in their 50s were vacationing @ River Valley Ranch in Carbondale, CO when we visited Aspen, CO for the day 7/21/2015. We were seated in the Prospect dining room off the small lobby around 11AM before there were other guests. Our waiter from Bulgaria was excellent & the manager checked on us several times. By... J-Bar is the perfect spot for drinks with friends. The bar is always full of great people and the staff is social and aims to please. If you're hungry the food is casual and always good. Go with friends or pop in if you're traveling solo and you're sure to make friends.

My daughter and I were exploring Aspen. We stopped by the Hotel Jerome to see famous lobby with antique check in desk. It started raining really hard. We decided to have lunch in the J-Bar. My 12 yr old daughter ordered from the kids menu. I had their famous hamburger with shoestring fries. The food was excellent. The server was... More

Good drinks that you will jave to pay for about $12. Afternoon male bartender very rude and acted like we were bothering him. Made the experience of this old bar not great. He asked us to pay the bill as he was getting off shift and did not even thank us for his tip. The girl bartender that came on... More

I love the Jerome bar and we go often and I am a local. They have awesome spicy edamame and the best burgers. It's great for dinner and watching a game.
