The Rustique is a French Bistro in Aspen, and like all upper end restaurants in Aspen it is over-priced for the quality. That said, the food is good and well=presented, but would not justify those prices in most other cities. Their truffled pomme frites we ordered as a starter were very good, but they were the highlight of the meal.

though we've spent countless weeks in Aspen over the years, Somehow Rustique excaped our notice. Until this past week. My husband and I visited on a recent evening. We shared the 2 special starters- a tomato/watermelon gazpacho with crab meat and foie gras with truffled potatoes and baked peaches. Wow. both were suberb. we both had the Duck confit for... More

This was our first meal in Aspen. The restaurant has been recommended by a friend. Maybe the ownership has changed since she ate here. We sat outside on a Friday night and were the only customers the whole time. The bread came in a paper bag, warm, sort of cute but tasted like bad bread machine, and the butter was... More

We have a tradition: every year we go to Rustique to have dinner on my wife's birthday. It never disappoints us. This year we also went there with friends at the end of June. They loved it too. One time my wife had soufflé au fromage, the other time she had the mac and cheese with truffles and of course... More

I've been here on numerous times over the years always with a group. My husband and I have tried numerous items on the menu and have always been disappointed. The service is slow and sometimes even rude. And in the winter I can never find a spot that isn't cold. Will not go back again.

Very disappointed to find a poor meal in Aspen at the end of a week of superior dining. Everything we ordered lacked creativity and flavor. Everyone working here seems to be going thru the motions -- uninspired like the Food.

We went to the restaurant on the recommendation of locals and were encouraged by the fact that it was crowded. Why is a open question. We ordered specials. It arrived nice and pink in the center, but was dry and tasteless. My wife also found the resotto to be tasteless. They have a good wine list and the somelier was... More

Our family went here for there THRUSDAY nite fried chicken special. Unusual fare for a French bistro but the locals recommended it. We ate outside and had a great meal plus desert was a killer. Costs a few $$$ but worth it

We both went for the $15 burger as we didn't feel like the 2 course fixed price menu (which looked very good). The burger came with a choice of salads or frites which was a nice option. We both had salads and shared a side of frites. All items were average to our taste. The large burger patty was perhaps... More

There is not literally one thing that I can say bad about this restaurant! The atmosphere and ambience were perfect for a nice dinner. The sweetbreads were out of this world!
