Our family was greatly looking forward to returning to one of our favorite restaurants in Aspen, Rustique. We were a table of five and each of us ordered different appetizers and entrées off of the prix fixed menu. For the most part, the flavors and textures were a real disappointment. With regard to appetizers: my husband's Caesar salad was missing... More

Enjoyed the 1/2 price dinner and apps. special. The food was delicious, wait staff friendly even though they were very busy. Love the atmosphere. Made reservation on line and table was ready when we arrived. Will return on next visit to Aspen.

I am a chef working for my company in Aspen this week and I was at Rustique last Monday night for their half price menu. I ordered the foie gras which is normally priced at $26. My portion was so small that I finished it in two bites. That is not very good value for money at $13. Give Rustique... More

We made a reservation for Wednesday when they were having a 50% off special (end of season), but when we showed up the restaurant was closed for a mechanical issue. We came back the next night, but they were offering only 30% off, except on the special- fried chicken for $28 (3 course meal). It actually sounded better than the... More

We have been coming to Rustique since the opening year about 14 years ago. Still charming and informal as ever. We celebrated another wedding anniversary. Small plate risotto was amazing. Duck breast was fabulous. Special of the day rock fish was outstanding. Banana Foster desert a local adaptation of new Orleans original was a disappointment. The other disappointment was not... More

Stopped in last night to have dinner at our friend's suggestion. This is a lovely restaurant which offers outdoor seating. We were seated in the bar area at a high top table which was great. We were greeted immediately and our wine order was taken (nice wine list). They serve their delicious french bread in a bag which is a... More

My wife and I spent the last several days with friends in Aspen enjoying the mountains, hiking and and the dining scene. Being always hungry we went to several Aspen stalwarts like Wild Fig and Acquolina. But in my opinion Rustique has the most interesting menu in town. They try to give a true french dining experience like snails and... More

If you like old-style gourmet French fare, this is your place. Great wine list. Fabulous menu. And don't miss the dessert offerings. Love this restaurant.

On a downtown Aspen street, Rustique is a stylish restaurant that offers a pretty expensive seeming menu--but then there's the "bar menu." Come early and grab one of the tables near the bar (or sit at the bar). The benefit will be cheaper prices with same-size servings. We ordered three dishes and could not finish everything. In particular we liked... More
