Stopped in last night to have dinner at our friend's suggestion. This is a lovely restaurant which offers outdoor seating. We were seated in the bar area at a high top table which was great. We were greeted immediately and our wine order was taken (nice wine list). They serve their delicious french bread in a bag which is a... More

My wife and I spent the last several days with friends in Aspen enjoying the mountains, hiking and and the dining scene. Being always hungry we went to several Aspen stalwarts like Wild Fig and Acquolina. But in my opinion Rustique has the most interesting menu in town. They try to give a true french dining experience like snails and... More

If you like old-style gourmet French fare, this is your place. Great wine list. Fabulous menu. And don't miss the dessert offerings. Love this restaurant.

On a downtown Aspen street, Rustique is a stylish restaurant that offers a pretty expensive seeming menu--but then there's the "bar menu." Come early and grab one of the tables near the bar (or sit at the bar). The benefit will be cheaper prices with same-size servings. We ordered three dishes and could not finish everything. In particular we liked... More

We had reservations for 8 and didn't get seated until after 8:30. The prior reservations did not get up from their tables in a timely manner. To say the least, we were not happy. However, the manager, Doug Kidder, made up for the wait. He seated us as soon as possible and brought to our table immediately a platter of... More

The Rustique is a French Bistro in Aspen, and like all upper end restaurants in Aspen it is over-priced for the quality. That said, the food is good and well=presented, but would not justify those prices in most other cities. Their truffled pomme frites we ordered as a starter were very good, but they were the highlight of the meal.

though we've spent countless weeks in Aspen over the years, Somehow Rustique excaped our notice. Until this past week. My husband and I visited on a recent evening. We shared the 2 special starters- a tomato/watermelon gazpacho with crab meat and foie gras with truffled potatoes and baked peaches. Wow. both were suberb. we both had the Duck confit for... More

This was our first meal in Aspen. The restaurant has been recommended by a friend. Maybe the ownership has changed since she ate here. We sat outside on a Friday night and were the only customers the whole time. The bread came in a paper bag, warm, sort of cute but tasted like bad bread machine, and the butter was... More

We have a tradition: every year we go to Rustique to have dinner on my wife's birthday. It never disappoints us. This year we also went there with friends at the end of June. They loved it too. One time my wife had soufflé au fromage, the other time she had the mac and cheese with truffles and of course... More

I've been here on numerous times over the years always with a group. My husband and I have tried numerous items on the menu and have always been disappointed. The service is slow and sometimes even rude. And in the winter I can never find a spot that isn't cold. Will not go back again.
