Kenichi is the ultimate Japanese restaurant in Aspen. The flavours are sublime and the strongest recommendation goes to the ribs. It is a superb dining experience which our kids equally enjoyed. A must do if you like Asian food. Ask if you can be in one of the booths.

Have been eating here for several years and have really liked it. On this visit though the food was very disappointing, lacked finesse and was really kind of bland. Fire cracker shrimp particularly poor.

Food was amazing. Generous portions, adventurous flavours. If you love japanese food you will not be disappointed. Wine list was expensive. Atmosphere and service were outstanding. We ate there on consecutive nights because we had such a great experience.

We couldn't get into Matsuhisa, so we tried this. Next time we will just forego sushi if we can't have the superb Nobu menu. The atmosphere here is nice, and the sake was good (if not overpriced)... But the rolls were basic and amateur. The most popular rolls according to our waiter each featured blackened yellowtail that was so overly... More

I had a delightful time at Kenichi last night. I had gone there last March while in Aspen and loved it so I went back. I was not disappointed. I believe I even had the same bartender, since I sat at the bar both times (Josh I think was his name). During their happy hour all rolls are half off,... More

We went for happy hour and tried a couple of different sushi. I really enjoyed the tempura shrimp sushi and my wife enjoyed the yellowtail. The saketini was very strong though a bargain at $6 during happy hour. All of the sushi plates were half priced which made them reasonable. Chefs made the experience for us as we sat at... More

My family and I recently visited Aspen and had a fantastic dinner at Kenichi. The variety was outstanding and beside the awesome sashimi and sushi, a couple of our favorites were the black cod and slow cooked baby back ribs. The service matched the food and wine selection was excellent. Highly recommended!

The inventive preparation and commitment to quality set Kenichi apart. Hamachi with serrano....oysters....unbelievable ribs, too. Sit at the bar with Ross and ask for a glass of 9 Droplets sake.

We had the happy hour menu. Great bargain. Very friendly and courteous staff. The restaurant is below street level and dimly lit but we sat by a window. Nice selection of rolls and the boar pot stickers were great.
