I was having some trouble deciding what to order off their delicious menu. Instead of choosing myself, I asked for "something wonderful" from the sushi chef. What arrived at my table were two of the largest crab claws I have ever seen, seasoned, sauced and torched to perfection. It was heavenly. Kenichi is a "must visit" if you are ever... More

Kenichi is centrally located in Aspen and an easy walk from almost all hotels. We did not have reservations and walked right in and sat at the sushi bar. We were greeted by an affable hostess and a happy waitress that recommended the best dishes. There were 5 chefs behind the bar. The head chef and his sidekick were entertaining... More

The atmosphere is ok. Service is very good. The food...only in aspen you can pay that much for this food quality, rolls are poorly done, sashimi is mediocre. Just wonder if Peking duck is normally a part of jApanese cuisine?

Kenichi has a great ambience. It's really modern, chic, and young. The food is really good but sushi is just fair. The Cod is amazing, don't go without trying it.

Run to Matsuhisa and away from here. The food is OK, the service pushy at upselling, but OK. The bartender is extremely rude. We ate at Matsuhisa the night before and night after- what a difference!

We just love this place! For anyone who like sushi I think that this place has it just right. The fish is fresh and just melts in your mouth. We had a selection of dishes including a couple the waitress recommended ( including the eggplant!) and they were sensational. Our waitress was polite and went out of her way to... More

Very nice sushi restaurant in aspen. The sashimi was buttery good! That was brought out to us first. Then rolls came out, we ordered one called the kenichi special, and a spicy tuna roll. The rolls were some of the worst we've ever had. They were not rolled well, very bland with the flavor and such small amounts of fish... More

It is American Japanese food which includes odd combinations such as ribs but it was all very tasty and the service was brilliant. It is a shame there was no teriyaki on the menu but the rolls were good. I would recommend it with the understanding that it is Americanised.
