Since 1997, Jimmy's has been Aspen's neighborhood restaurant and bar, the kind of comfortable restaurant where you can dine again and again. Ask any local, and you will hear that Jimmy's is an "Aspen Institution." The menu has something for everyone, from the fresh-squeezed margaritas and the "locally-priced" bar menu to the famous crab cakes, USDA prime steaks, and fresh fish. "The menu is designed to feature the finest in American cuisine without being pretentious, served in an energetic atmosphere," says proprietor (and local) Jimmy Yeager. The energy at Jimmy's is what really draws a crowd; the bar is nearly always jam-packed and the dining room lively with activity and a mix of interesting people. The welcoming staff provide the best in top-notch hospitality. Jimmy's is "home" for a large community of locals and tourists alike.

Food was not amazing

This was a cool atmosphere, but we didn't think the food was amazing. Perhaps we ordered the wrong things?

We had very high expectations after hearing about Jimmy's from so many people, but this restaurant was simple wonderful on all levels and exceeded our expectations. The bar was packed but the service was quick and friendly while we waited for our table. The food was simply outstanding, well presented, and the wine as suggested was a perfect match! We... More

If you are looking for a great restaurant in Aspen that won't cost you an arm and a leg, this is the place. I had the Crab Cake and the New York Strip, both very good. Service was very fast and pleasant. 9/10.

Quite, comfortable restaurant with unique menu offerings. Bison, Duck, Fish and Steak entrees are a bit pricey, but order a starters of Mac & Cheese or Artichoke dip and you can share the entrée.

I eat out frequently. This place has some of the best food in town. The service is friendly, personal and top notch. I had so much fun getting to know Clint, Alex, Kayla, Ben, Ali, Chris, Noah and others who served me. Two dishes stood out, the New York steak and the clam cakes. Both were as good as I... More

My husband and I went here for a dinner and the food was incredible! The jimmy's Mac was to die for! The service was great! There was a cool bar when you first walk in and the dining room was in the back. It was quiet and felt upscale! Will definitely visit again!

Nice mix of local and tourist spot. Been around forever. Service was great. Food was good, not great. Had Kobe steak, very tender, lean cut, just not flavorful (maybe that is the kobe flavor?)… wish I would have gotten the regular Colorado Agnus steak. App's and drinks were great.

Great Bar and Bartenders. Local flavor of Aspen permeates the bar area. Crab Cakes! Great Apre' Ski menu too! Superior wine selection and world class toxicologists on staff! The restaurant area is very high end. A warm room with soft lighting. Full high end menu $$$$ but worth every penny if you are w/ the right person(s). Get a reservation... More

We had a group of 9 and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Jimmy's! The trout was amazing and everyone seemed to enjoy their entrees although my daughter's entree of ribs with a beet risotto was not the best. The beets were overpowering. The service was good and we loved the atmosphere-would definitely recommend it for a couple or family group.... More

Upon entering you are unsure whether you are mining for historic Aspen silver or entering the world's darkest restaurant.. extremely dim lighting.. ideal for taking an unattractive date. Expect to leave this place with at least a $100 bill for two.. for Velveeta mac n' cheese, a domestic beer. 1/2 a rotisserie chicken and a crab cake. Basic dining at... More
