Since 1997, Jimmy's has been Aspen's neighborhood restaurant and bar, the kind of comfortable restaurant where you can dine again and again. Ask any local, and you will hear that Jimmy's is an "Aspen Institution." The menu has something for everyone, from the fresh-squeezed margaritas and the "locally-priced" bar menu to the famous crab cakes, USDA prime steaks, and fresh fish. "The menu is designed to feature the finest in American cuisine without being pretentious, served in an energetic atmosphere," says proprietor (and local) Jimmy Yeager. The energy at Jimmy's is what really draws a crowd; the bar is nearly always jam-packed and the dining room lively with activity and a mix of interesting people. The welcoming staff provide the best in top-notch hospitality. Jimmy's is "home" for a large community of locals and tourists alike.

In many weeks in the US and Canada this was perhaps our best dining experience. Seating, ordering, food, beer and wine (by the sommelier) recommendations were all good or excellent. The halibut was fresh and tasty. The Steam Engine Amber beer quenched our first thirst. We had the Cristom Viognier white wine with the fish: a good choice but at... More

Two of us dined there for dinner a few nights ago. We had reservations, but didn't really need them, it was half empty, off-season I guess. Anyway, we were seated right away on a quiet balcony away from the noisier one. There were white table cloths (which we like), and our waiter was terrific. Very attentive, without being intrusive. We... More

The vibe and ambience is great but the food was average. The Cesar salad had three pieces of romaine lettuce on a large plate with some pieces of cheese. It was the worst salad we had during our time in Aspen. The salmon was average with flavors that did not seem to belong together. We long wait time for our... More

Nothing special. Good wine and tequila list. Food was just okay. Pork chops were too sweet. Steak was good but nothing special. The roasted corn soup was phenomenal. I would go back just for that.

Jimmy's is a great place to eat and be seen in Aspen! The food was excellent! I had fresh Rocky Mountain Trout that was just amazing. In the summer all of the windows are open with a view of the ski mountain. Lots of locals come in later on in the night.

A great place. This is one of our favorite Aspen places. We had not been there for a few years and were thrilled it was still there! Food is exceptional and the wait staff is very attentive

Jimmy's is a very popular place with a nice bar and good food. The bar is crowded after 10:00 pm and you will need a reservation for dinner. Great burgers, fries, and mussels in white or red sauce. Make sure to try their homemade bread. Delicious!

Jimmy's is a white tablecloth upscale establishment. The menus would fit most everyone's needs. The dinners are ala carte so it can get to be a pricey meal. The wait staff was helpful in explaining the options, was attentive without being overbearing and most importantly, the food is good.

Dinning at Jimmy's is a delightful experience. The restaurant is on the second floor of a courtyard which gives great viewing sights of the Aspen streets. Try to be seated on the porch. The steak dishes are good, but the restaurant excels in its fish dishes. Friendly and helpful service plus reasonable prices, makes this a must addition to the... More
