The restaurant is permanently closed (kaput, gone forever). What more can be said or needs to be said? Its upstairs restaurant (same owner/management) is also dead as of this weekend, so forget all of the prior reviews.

Our family of 5 visits Aspen every year prime season ( Christmas week) . Please totally disregard the review by John B, this could not be more inaccurate. Of all the restaurants that we have been to each year Syzygy is always on everyone's list of one that we "have to go" to. Though expensive, reservations are always honored, decor... More

If you go to a restaurant in Aspen you want to enjoy the view and fresh air. The experience at Syzygy was 180 degrees opposite…. It felt like a bomb shelter. Smell of sewage added extra touch, décor was very cheesy and music was very loud. May be food was good, but I was not able to focus on the... More

An absolutely beautiful restaurant beneath the street in Aspen. Stunning decor with food to match. Everything cooked to perfection. Excellent menu. They are often not filled in the summer months, since they don't have al fresco dining (I'm one of the five people in the world who thinks that's fine!) but the restaurant and food are absolutely top notch.

Great service and menu. Location is better suited for the winter season (basement), but that doesn't change the fact this is some of the best food money can buy in Aspen. And as a bonus - great wine list.

This is Aspen 20 yeArs ago, stuffy and uptight setting but with a good menu. Just does not deliver amongst all the other restaurants; Aspen is family now, not expensive dining with a wine list marked up 4x.

We had not visited Syzygy since it moved to its new location. We wanted to have a light meal before the theatre and saw there bar menu which looked quite interesting Many restaurants in Aspen have bar menus now I presume for those who want something less expensive or something lighter before or after an event. The restaurant is in... More

I was by myself, and so I ate at the bar rather than in the restaurant proper. In some places, eating at the bar gives you limited choices, but the full menu was available, and I had the elk meatloaf, which was simply one of the best "bar" dinners I have had in a long while. The service was what... More

We have been in Aspen for a week now and our concierge booked us in every "great " restaurant in town. But it wasn't until tonight, that we had a truly exceptional meal. Syzygy has an unassuming exterior. Go down a flight of stairs and find a cool modern, but totally inviting interior with black textured walls and high private... More
