Good food, great service

We have eaten in the bar area early a few evenings and had a great meal and wonderful service. The waitstaff in the bar area was particularly nice - she steered us honestly to food choices and made the experience that much better. I wish I remembered her name, but she is a treasure.

After combing through restaurants and reviews I came upon Pinon's in Aspen. Our family wanted to do something special for our parents celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary. We are a family of fifteen and all were well cared for including the children (we had six 7 and under). Our server Sean did an excellent job managing the table and timing... More

I should think this is the #1 recommended restaurant in Aspen. Upstairs with little signage, buy ask anyone and they will point to the location. It is so good that it closes twice a year for a couple months each time and ask any of the help how long they have worked at Pinons and you'll see no one seems... More

Food is always delicious and consistent. great service and knowledge from entire staff. Very reasonably priced bar menu. Great upstairs location. Outdoor patio is one of the best in town.

First time here. My husband and I shared the dover sole which was enough for two. It was delicious. Friend and I had the mushroom soup which was hearty but delicious if you like mushrooms. Another guest had the rib-eye which she loved. Would go back.

My wife and I went to Pinon's the second night after their reopening for the season. Tim was our waiter. My wife had the Veal Chop, and I had the Rack of Lamb. Both were excellent, but she won the nights competition for "best dinner". The meals were precisely prepared: the meats were cooked as requested, the vegetables were "crisp... More

We dined at Pinons our last day in Aspen and their last day before closing for the spring season. The food was spectacular. We had a wonderful waiter and great service. They are known for their local fare and game specializing in fish, pheasant, beef, buffalo, lamb, elk,and antelope. The buffalo melted in my mouth. Others in our group had... More

Understanding that this in an "institution" in Aspen, do not plan to have a great experience or be paid attention to unless you have the appearance of being an important guest (aka big spender). What is unfortunate is that by dismissing us as a "young couple" who might not be the guests they were looking for, they lost revenue because... More
