Great food but don't ask for your fish to be deboned

The food is great, the atmosphre is nice but don't ask for your dover sole not to be deboned because the chef will refuse to send it whole. I wonder if instead of only one portion he can prepare two portions of one fish because I do not find another reason not to do it.

Understanding that this in an "institution" in Aspen, do not plan to have a great experience or be paid attention to unless you have the appearance of being an important guest (aka big spender). What is unfortunate is that by dismissing us as a "young couple" who might not be the guests they were looking for, they lost revenue because... More

Visited here in March with friends and their work colleagues. We were a party of 8 and were sat at a large round table. The restaurant was full and there was a lovely atmosphere. The waiter was very helpful as was the sommelier. Our party ordered amongst others Dover Sole, Veal stuffed with Fontina and the Buffalo tenderloin. I chose... More

Got a tip during the apres-ski from an Aspen native - and we were not disappointed. Comfortable, great service, excellent food, distinguished wine list, walking distance to hotels. Wonderful evening!

During our week in Snowmass, we headed into Aspen for one big dinner out with our group of friends. Pinons was one of the few places that could accommodate our large party. Our meal was absolutely delicious from start to finish. Our entrees were perfectly prepared, with all the meat cooked to the correct temperature. Given the large portions, we... More

This restaurant has been around for a long time and has a following....especially for the romantic and special occasion needs. The wine list is highly over priced as is the food, albeit quite good. If youre looking for a restaurant to set the mood, this is a nice spot, just plan on spending bucks!! The place also has a small... More

We picked this restaurant after reviewing a few highly rated restaurants in Aspen to celebrate our Anniversary. We skied all day so wanted an early reservation at 6:45 which was accepted the night before and we were seated on arrival. The restaurant provides for a quiet dinner location as the sound levels are very acceptable to carry a quiet conversation.... More

We went here on friend's recommendations and were not disappointed. We arrived a little early, no troubles, and were seated at the bar. Small, very busy but no view. Interior decoration is plain though the food is the outstanding feature. Staff helpful and the wind list is extensive though the sommelier did not make an appearance on the night we... More

located on a second floor in aspen it seems to be small and crowded (and it kind of is). the thing is that the food is very good and it is always full! Fantasticly decorated with very big photographs that almost seem alive and although a little uncomfortable (we prefer bigger spaces and high dealings) the experience was good. Great... More
