Very good but Gastric Distress Afterward

We just returned from a lovely dinner. My husband had the chicken and I had the Trout. We started with the arugula salad with pears. We just returned from a lovely dinner. My husband had the chicken and I had the Trout. We started with the arugula salad with pears. Everything was tasty but after our almost two hour dinner I had diarrhea in the restroom and could barely make it back to our hotel within five blocks because it happened again. This is very... There are many fine restaurants in Aspen, and many more that try to be. Pinons succeeds all around. Service, food presentation, and taste were all outstanding. The sole special was excellent, the salad was crisp and tasty, coffee was very good as was the dessert we all shared. It was so good we barely noticed the server who effortlessly facilitated... The service was excellent but the food was not that good. I tasted one soup (special of the day - white asparagus soup with crab), one appetizer (Crispy Oysters with creme fraiche and caviar), and one main (special of the day - gnocchi with rabbit). The soup was EXCELLENT; the oysters were OK (I guess that by the time they... More

Pinons is a fine dining restaurant and it certainly lives up to its reputation. I would recommend for a special occasion - anniversary, birthday etc. or if you are looking for a sophisticated dining experience. There is a great bar menu available if you are scared of the Aspen prices - $35 for 2 courses. Totally worth it. The service... More

Couples night out in Aspen. We were referred to Pinions by a local we met on the slopes in Snowmass. Definately worth the trip for dinner. Great atmosphere, great food and outstanding service. Aspen prices!

We have eaten in the bar area early a few evenings and had a great meal and wonderful service. The waitstaff in the bar area was particularly nice - she steered us honestly to food choices and made the experience that much better. I wish I remembered her name, but she is a treasure.

After combing through restaurants and reviews I came upon Pinon's in Aspen. Our family wanted to do something special for our parents celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary. We are a family of fifteen and all were well cared for including the children (we had six 7 and under). Our server Sean did an excellent job managing the table and timing... More

I should think this is the #1 recommended restaurant in Aspen. Upstairs with little signage, buy ask anyone and they will point to the location. It is so good that it closes twice a year for a couple months each time and ask any of the help how long they have worked at Pinons and you'll see no one seems... More

First time here. My husband and I shared the dover sole which was enough for two. It was delicious. Friend and I had the mushroom soup which was hearty but delicious if you like mushrooms. Another guest had the rib-eye which she loved. Would go back.
